Saddleworth.)
BYO Lunch. Kiosk area will be open but no catering on site.
Make a weekend of it and stay at the Auburn Caravan Park

historic town of Auburn. if you want to make a booking!)

Restoration workshops
The restoration workshops on the restoration of the Triumph Dolomite are going
well All club members are encouraged to get involved by tackling the cleaning
and restoration of parts.
Most of the paint has now been stripped from the car and rubber mountings are
being sourced for suspension restoration. At the December workshop a different
technique will be used for stripping the paint on one of the doors so that methods
can be compared. The February workshop will see the panels being prepared for
applying the paint.
Club members are encouraged to bring 10 drink containers of the 10c deposit type
to each general meeting.
Restoration workshops occur at Trevor Evan’s shed 114 Bassnet Road,
Humbug Scrub on the first Thursday of the month.
The following dates have been scheduled:
Thurs 6 th December (No workshop in January), Thurs 7 th Feb Thurs 7 th March

1. Who was driving the PT Cruiser? which ceased forward motion, and under a
cloud of rising steam, held up the traffic on the up section of King William Road
when just approaching the traffic lights at North Terrace, He was last seen coming
out of the nearest Deli with several litre's of bottled water! “WELL DONE’
Gleny’s you did a EXCELLENT job directing the buses around the stationary
vehicle.!

2. A member recently called the above unidentified member to tow him home with a suspected fuel blockage.
Interestingly they managed to get the car running when it was home and it sat there gurgling away merrily with just a
hesitation when the accelerator was activated. Owner was convinced there was a fuel blockage, despite having fitted an
in-line filter, as this had happened on the previous run the car had been out on (yep; towed home on that occasion too).
Hmmmm?
Outcome - although he was carrying spare fuel it is a good idea to ensure there is actually some in the tank, at
least more than the few dribbles it was able to idle on!!
