Run Reports
Run organisers are requested to nominate someone on the run to provide an article for the Journal, and also someone to
report on the run to meetings (preferably a separate person for each). A report sheet is available to assist in reporting
and is on the web site home page by clicking the “Run report template” button . Reports should include some statistics
on number of cars and people on the run plus information of a general nature. Photos of the run are earnestly sought by
the Editor and the Webmaster.
Motorfest run: Around the Houses Wednesday 26 th September.
This run was organised by the GVVCVC
and involved 21 vehicles with 40 people.
The club was well represented on this run.
There were 2 vehicles from Queensland, an
Austin 7 van and a 1934 MG owned by
Tonty Basham which was driven from
Cairns (3420km).
Apparently the run was thoroughly enjoyed
by all, thanks to Trevor Unsworth,
organiser and submitter of photographs.
The Bay to Birdwood. Sunday 30 th November by Trevor Unsworth
The premier motoring event in Aust, The Bay to Birdwood Run was a most successfull
run. With bad weather threatening only a few light sprinkles couldn’t dampen a
fantastic motoring event.
Crowds were down but the usual atmosphere was encouraging to the drivers along the
entire route. Trevor Unsworth debuted his 1916 Willys Overland model 75 tourer with
new member George Cooke as navigator, and it didn’t miss a beat all day.-------
learning skills demonstrated on the Triumph.
The GVV&CVC had a good representation of 18 vehicles in the entry list of over 1200
vehicles.
I saw several of our members and a few vehicles but unfortunately only had the
opportunity to chat to a few.
