Murray McCaw is a Director of Cormilligan Group – a privately owned consulting<br />
company established in 1998 to provide governance skills and strategy advice to<br />
New Zealand and Pacific based businesses. Prior to taking up the role as Chair of<br />
<strong>Grow</strong> <strong>Wellington</strong> in 2007, Murray had chaired the <strong>Wellington</strong> Regional Strategy<br />
Forum for three years. The Forum developed the <strong>Wellington</strong> Regional Strategy.<br />
He is a graduate of Harvard Business School and is also a Director of Bay of Many<br />
Coves Resort Ltd, BOMC Properties Ltd and Mitsubishi Motors NZ Ltd and a<br />
Trustee of Sport <strong>Wellington</strong> Region and Hawke’s Bay Sports Park Trust.<br />
BRent alBistOn<br />
Brent Albiston is Chairman and Managing Director of Radiola Aerospace Ltd, an<br />
aviation services company which sells aeronautical navigation aids and flight<br />
inspection services in New Zealand and internationally. Brent was a Board<br />
Member of Business Porirua from 1995, resigning as Deputy Chairman in 2007.<br />
He is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of<br />
Management. He is also an NZIM Mentor, and Chairman of Sticky Pictures Ltd.<br />
Paul meRsi (ChaiR FROm 01.07.<strong>11</strong>)<br />
Paul is a business advisor and company director. He has had a successful<br />
professional career as a senior Financial Services and Tax Partner with<br />
PricewaterhouseCoopers, and was a member of the Government’s Savings<br />
Working Group. He has also worked in the OECD in Paris, and served for a<br />
number of years in a senior policy role in the public sector. Paul has a degree<br />
in economics from Victoria University.<br />
viv BeCK<br />
Viv Beck trained as a journalist and completed a degree in economics at<br />
Victoria University. She’s had a varied career and now works in her own business<br />
after co-writing and successfully launching a leadership book for women<br />
starting out in their careers. She was Chief Executive of design and print agency<br />
Communication Arts for five years and prior to that, held senior leadership<br />
positions at New Zealand Post. Viv is Chair of the <strong>Wellington</strong> Museums Trust,<br />
which operates the largest grouping of arts and cultural visitor attractions<br />
in <strong>Wellington</strong>.<br />
JOhn lumsden<br />
John is Chair of Moxie Communications Ltd, Virtual Expos New Zealand Limited,<br />
and the Advisory Board of Productspec Limited. He is a Past President of<br />
the <strong>Wellington</strong> Regional Chamber of Commerce, participating on the Board<br />
Committee that managed the merger with the Employers and Manufacturers<br />
Association. Until early 2007 he was the Chief Executive of the Meteorological<br />
Service of New Zealand Limited, a position he held since it was established as a<br />
State Owned Enterprise in 1992.<br />
JOhn mCFadZean<br />
John McFadzean was born and educated in the Wairarapa, and has been<br />
involved with agriculture all his life. John owns and operates three sheep and<br />
cattle properties in the Wairarapa and he won the1993 Wairarapa Farmer of<br />
the Year Award. He set up and continues to manage three forestry partnerships<br />
involving <strong>10</strong>0 partners. These forests are recognised as high growth and high<br />
quality plantations. He has been a member of various local body sub committees<br />
and is active in community service.<br />
