Isaac Regional Council is offering
free expert tutoring for local
families, with on-demand, expert
tutors who are available each
afternoon at all eight of Isaac’s
libraries. With no need for travel,
registration, or cost to families, it is
proving a popular option. Students log in with their
public library card and have conversations with
expert tutors to understand homework problems,
ask essay and writing questions, and for general
schoolwork feedback.
Students can access this free online service,
entitled yourtutor, from any computer with an
internet connection.

The ‘Early Bird’ registration period for 2011/2012 is now in effect within the Isaac Region. The early bird
discount applies to renewal of registrations only. To take advantage of the discounts below, registration
fees must be paid between 4 July and 5 August 2011 (by 5.00pm). Please note:
∗ Proof of sterilization must be presented to access the de-sexed fees. (Required under the Dog &
Cat Management Act 2008)
∗ Pensioner cards must be presented to receive the pensioner discount.
∗ The fees and charges are current at time of publishing however, they may be subject to change.

Regional Achievements to be Recognised
Nominations are now open for the Queensland Regional
Achievement and Community Awards. Isaac Regional Council
Mayor Cedric Marshall said the awards provide an opportunity for
community groups, businesses and individuals to receive
recognition for a job well done.
‘By nominating a fellow Isaac resident, whether they achieve on a
social, economic or environmental level, we can showcase the
most valuable asset of our community – the people,’ he said.
Nominations are open until 19 August 2011 in these categories:
*The Salvation Army Employment Plus Business and
Employment Award
*The Flight Centre Events and Tourism Award
*The Peabody Environment and Landcare Award
*The Clark Rubber Regional Service Award
*The Prime Super Community of the Year Award
Mayor Marshall said many worthy contenders live and work in the
region and deserve a nomination.
‘We have a great deal of inspiring community members and this is
a great opportunity for their achievements to be acknowledged,’
he said.
