Isaac Regional Council is offering<br />
free expert tutoring for local<br />
families, with on-demand, expert<br />
tutors who are available each<br />
afternoon at all eight of Isaac’s<br />
libraries. With no need for travel,<br />
registration, or cost to families, it is<br />
proving a popular option. Students log in with their<br />
public library card and have conversations with<br />
expert tutors to understand homework problems,<br />
ask essay and writing questions, and for general<br />
schoolwork feedback.<br />
Students can access this free online service,<br />
entitled yourtutor, from any computer with an<br />
internet connection.<br />

The ‘Early Bird’ registration period for <strong>2011</strong>/2012 is now in effect within the Isaac Region. The early bird<br />
discount applies to renewal of registrations only. To take advantage of the discounts below, registration<br />
fees must be paid between 4 July and 5 <strong>August</strong> <strong>2011</strong> (by 5.00pm). Please note:<br />
∗ Proof of sterilization must be presented to access the de-sexed fees. (Required under the Dog &<br />
Cat Management Act 2008)<br />
∗ Pensioner cards must be presented to receive the pensioner discount.<br />
∗ The fees and charges are current at time of publishing however, they may be subject to change.<br />

Regional Achievements to be Recognised<br />
Nominations are now open for the Queensland Regional<br />
Achievement and Community Awards. Isaac Regional Council<br />
Mayor Cedric Marshall said the awards provide an opportunity for<br />
community groups, businesses and individuals to receive<br />
recognition for a job well done.<br />
‘By nominating a fellow Isaac resident, whether they achieve on a<br />
social, economic or environmental level, we can showcase the<br />
most valuable asset of our community – the people,’ he said.<br />
Nominations are open until 19 <strong>August</strong> <strong>2011</strong> in these categories:<br />

Mayor Marshall said many worthy contenders live and work in the<br />
region and deserve a nomination.<br />
‘We have a great deal of inspiring community members and this is<br />
a great opportunity for their achievements to be acknowledged,’<br />
he said.<br />
