Richard earned a national diploma in development studies <strong>from</strong> the Kimmage Development Studies<br />
Centre in Ireland in 2003–4, and a diploma in agriculture and food marketing <strong>from</strong> Egerton University,<br />
Kenya, in 1983–86. From 1986 to 1998 he worked with the Ministry of Agriculture, after which he<br />
joined the Diocese’s Agriculture and Environment Programme. He has worked with communities for<br />
20 years in extension, project design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.<br />
