The Pullman will certainly get your heart racing.
After a busy working day in the city, the personal welcome I received at the
Pullman front desk was more than just friendly, making me feel like I was a star
Olympic performer but without entourage. After checking into my executive
suite, I was invited to enjoy a happy hour drink on the 16th fl oor. I sat and
contemplated how best to utilise my time while enjoying the panoramic views
over the park woodlands and back towards the cityscape.
Wasting no time at all, it was back to my room for my sports shoes and a quick
change to go and check out the fi tness centre facility. Hotel guests (business
club) get complimentary access to the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre,
pools, gym, spa and sauna. Nearby there is also golf, tennis, cycling, sports
events, concerts, shopping, hockey, archery and walking tracks.
Passing through the lobby I caught a glimpse of the chic signature restaurant
‘Bacar’ with its open kitchen and wine bar in the most contemporary looking
design. The wine bar is perfect for casual dining over tasting plates, offering a
great selection of fi ne wines and Sommelier ‘samples’. The restaurant can seat
up to 100 guests, including a chef’s table for ten and a private dining room
with seating for up to sixteen. After my visit to the Aquatic centre, I ordered a
Chicken Caesar salad from Bacar to be delivered to my room so as not to miss
out on the stunning views from the 20th fl oor.
The Pullman is exceptionally well set up for seminars and group meetings.
The rooms are designed around quality and innovation, three meeting rooms
will hold up to 220 delegates all with superior connectivity raising the business
‘bar’ with wireless/broadband internet throughout the hotel and the personal
support of an in-house IT Solutions Manager. I had reason to call him up and
he was oh so helpful.
Central to all attractions, The Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park sets the
environmental benchmark in upscale accommodation. Contemporary in style
and unmatched in attentive service, check in and chill out here, it defi nitely
performs well above its 5-star rating. Visit pullmanhotels.com
