mmputacl Comm<strong>and</strong><br />

Options<br />

-d Specifies that the default ACL of a directory is to be set. This flag cannot be used on an NFS V4<br />

ACL.<br />

-i InFilename<br />

The path name of a source file from which the ACL is to be read.<br />

Exit status<br />

0 Successful completion.<br />

nonzero A failure has occurred.<br />

Security<br />

You may issue the mmputacl comm<strong>and</strong> only from a node in the <strong>GPFS</strong> cluster where the file system is<br />

mounted.<br />

You must be the file or directory owner, the root user, or someone with control permission in the ACL, to<br />

run the mmputacl comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

Examples<br />

To use the entries in a file named st<strong>and</strong>ard.acl to set the ACL for a file named project2.history, issue<br />

this comm<strong>and</strong>:<br />

mmputacl -i st<strong>and</strong>ard.acl project2.history<br />

where st<strong>and</strong>ard.acl contains:<br />

user::rwxc<br />

group::rwx-<br />

other::--x-<br />

mask::rw-c<br />

user:alpha:rwxc<br />

group:audit:rwx-<br />

group:system:-w--<br />

To confirm the change, issue this comm<strong>and</strong>:<br />

mmgetacl project.history<br />

The system displays information similar to:<br />

#group:design<br />

user::rwxc<br />

group::rwx-<br />
