mmquotaoff – Deactivates quota limit checking.<br />

Synopsis<br />

mmquotaoff [-u] [-g] [-j] [-v] {Device [Device ...] | -a}<br />

Description<br />

The mmquotaoff comm<strong>and</strong> disables quota limit checking by <strong>GPFS</strong>.<br />

If none of: -u, -j or -g is specified, the mmquotaoff comm<strong>and</strong> deactivates quota limit checking for users,<br />

groups, <strong>and</strong> filesets.<br />

If the -a option is not specified, Device must be the last parameter entered.<br />

Parameters<br />

Device[ Device ... ]<br />

The device name of the file system to have quota limit checking deactivated.<br />

Options<br />

If more than one file system is listed, the names must be delimited by a space. File system names<br />

need not be fully-qualified. fs0 is just as acceptable as /dev/fs0.<br />

-a Deactivates quota limit checking for all <strong>GPFS</strong> file systems in the cluster. When used in<br />

combination with the -g option, only group quota limit checking is deactivated. When used in<br />

combination with the -u or -j options, only user or fileset quota limit checking, respectively, is<br />

deactivated.<br />

-g Specifies that only group quota limit checking is to be deactivated.<br />

-j Specifies that only quota checking for filesets is to be deactivated.<br />

-u Specifies that only user quota limit checking is to be deactivated.<br />

-v Prints a message for each file system in which quotas are deactivated.<br />

Exit status<br />

0 Successful completion.<br />

nonzero A failure has occurred.<br />

Security<br />

You must have root authority to run the mmquotaoff comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

<strong>GPFS</strong> must be running on the node from which the mmquotaoff comm<strong>and</strong> is issued.<br />

Examples<br />

1. To deactivate user quota limit checking on file system fs0, issue this comm<strong>and</strong>:<br />

mmquotaoff -u fs0<br />

To confirm the change, issue this comm<strong>and</strong>:<br />

mmlsfs fs0 -Q<br />
