How to use the vignette
Use of a vignette is compulsory for single-track vehicles (motorbikes)
and double-track motor vehicles, with or without a trailer vehicle, the
maximum permissible weight of which does not exceed 3.500 kg, on
all motorways and expressways in the Republic of Slovenia under the
management of DARS d.d.

Yearly vignette for a current year is valid from 1 December of the previous year until 31 January of the following year
(in total 14 months). Half-year vignette is valid for six months from the date of purchase. The monthly vignette is valid
from the date of purchase until the end of the day with the same number one month after purchase, or, if there is no such
day in the following month, until the end of the last day of the month. Weekly vignette is valid for seven consecutive days
from the date specified by the user upon purchase.

Half-year, monthly and weekly vignette must be punched at the point of sale.
They should be punched at a spot marking the first day of validity. Vignettes that are not punched are not valid! Please
check carefully upon purchase that your vignette is properly punched.

Replacement vignette
Displaying a vignette
A vignette is only valid when it is properly displayed on a vehicle prior to use on a toll
road. After removing the protection foil, immediately place a vignette undamaged on the
inner side of a windscreen, in such a way that it is clearly visible from outside. The sticker
should not be placed in a spot where the windscreen is dark or to a side window of a
vehicle.
Please make sure, before applying a vignette, to read the displaying instructions on the back
side of a vignette. Always remove a previously displayed or invalid vignette prior to placing a
new valid vignette.
A vignette may only be used on one vehicle. Removing an already displayed vignette
damages the vignette, which is therefore no longer valid. When applying a vignette it is not
permitted to use other glues, special foils, adhesive tapes and similar.
If the driver:
• replaces the windscreen or a part of motorcycle to which the vignette was affixed because of destruction,
• replaces the vehicle, windscreen or a part of motorcycle within the warranty period or
• gives the vehicle for destruction,
the driver is allowed to request from the manager of toll roads to:
• issue a replacement vignette for the same period, or
• to reimburse the cost of the purchase of a replacement vignette, if the driver buys a replacement yearly or half-yearly
vignette.
A fulfilled request for the issuing of a replacement vignette has to be submitted along with:
• the removed vignette or the part of the glass with the vignette (if the entire serial number is not legible, the
accompanying coupon should also be submitted). The validity of the removed half-yearly, monthly or weekly vignette
has to be legible, otherwise the purchase invoice has to be attached;
• a copy of the invoice for the replacement of the windscreen or a copy of the invoice for the replacement of a part of
motorcycle or
• document or a copy of document on the replacement of the windscreen, a part of motorcycle or the vehicle within the
warranty period issued by the workshop in which the replacement has been made;
• a copy of the document on the handover of the vehicle for destruction and the document on the cancellation of the
vehicle from the official registry of registered vehicles. The documents have to be enclosed with their translations
into Slovenian language issued by a sworn translator.
Besides the mentioned, a fulfilled request for reimbursement of the cost of the purchase of a replacement vignette has to
also be enclosed with the original coupon and purchase invoice for the new (replacement) vignette, which is to be returned
to the applicant. A request for the issuing of a replacement vignette or for reimbursement of the cost of the purchase of a
replacement yearly or half-yearly vignette has to be submitted not later than 30 after the fulfilment of the conditions for
eligibility.
A user is entitled to compensation of the yearly vignette value only if he or she purchased the replacement vignette
before the start of validity of yearly vignette for the following calendar year.

Control
Control over proper use of vignette is performed by the Motorway Company of the Republic of Slovenia (DARS), the
Transport Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia, the Customs Administration of the Republic of Slovenia and the Police.
Use of motorways and expressways without a valid and properly displayed vignette on a vehicle is considered a
violation of the Public Roads Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, no. 33/06 – official consolidated text
and 45/08) and is sanctioned with penalty from 300 to 800 EUR.

Hogyan bánjunk az autópálya-matricával
Szlovéniában a Szlovén Köztársaság autópálya-kezelő Rt. (DARS d.d.)
által fenntartott autópályákon és autóutakon a motorkerékpároknak
és gépkocsiknak (utánfutóval vagy nélküle ), amelyek legmagasabb
megengedett össztömege nem haladja meg a 3.500 kg-ot, kötelező az

A 2012-re vonatkozó minden fajta autópálya-matrica 2011. 12. 1-től megvásárolható a
kijelölt eladóhelyeken.
Az éves autópálya-matrica az előző év december elsejétől a következő év január 31-ig érvényes
(összesen 14 hónap). A féléves autópálya-matrica a vásárlás napjától számított hat hónapig
érvényes. A havi autópálya-matrica a megvásárlás időpontja szerinti következő hónap ugyanazon
számú napjáig érvényes, ill. a hónap utolsó napjáig, ha abban a hónapban ilyen számú nap nincs.
A heti autópálya-matrica egymást követő hét naptári napot érvényes attól a naptól kezdve,
amelyet a felhasználó a vásárlás napján határoz meg.
