Citroen, Designed with lmS<br />
The <strong>ASAM</strong> ODS solution is <strong>now</strong> the standard for test data<br />
management at PSA Peugeot Citroën. This new NVH solution<br />
completes the ones deployed for powertrain and durability<br />
test areas and confirms our strategy. Our main need<br />
was to use the standard format to save and share data<br />
throughout the development process.<br />

Summary<br />
Challenge: Storing a variety of NVH measurement<br />
data in the same format, searching for<br />
tests with multiple criteria, and easily exchange<br />
data between test and simulation domains, are<br />
important issues for PSA Peugeot Citroen.<br />
Solution: Data provided by LMS Test.Lab, Head<br />

to final <strong>ASAM</strong> ODS storage<br />
Artemis and MBBM Pak Systems are converted<br />
to ATFX files together with additional information<br />
like test condition, unit under test, etc.. User-friendly<br />
interfaces allow engineers to search<br />
for data and add new information, before submitting<br />
conversion and import operations in<br />
batch mode on a server. <strong>ASAM</strong> ODS data and<br />
files in native LMS format are managed by AVL<br />
Santorin using mixed mode storage.<br />
Key Benefits: Data centralization in a standard<br />
format (<strong>ASAM</strong> ODS) managed by Santorin,<br />
using its ATFX/ATF file import and export facilities.<br />
An advanced <strong>ASAM</strong> ODS browser in<br />
LMS Test.Lab to access the data and the ability<br />
to read ATFX files in LMS Virtual.Lab.<br />
Situation<br />
Distributed NVH testing, modern development<br />
process (in closed loop with simulation<br />
tools such as LMS Virtual.Lab) creates a need<br />
to establish a structured way of collecting, importing<br />
and retrieving NVH test data, centralized<br />
in a standard format.<br />
ChallengeS<br />
The challenges were to find an appropriate datamodel<br />
that covers the needs for PSA Peugeot<br />
Citroen NVH engineers from different subdomains<br />
(specifically, by defining meta information<br />
that correctly represents the exact specifications<br />
of the unit under test, the condition of the test,<br />
etc.), to optimize the global system performance,<br />
and to write out explicit use cases for<br />
validating the correct handling of the extremely<br />
rich NVH data.<br />
SuCCeSS Strategy<br />
In order to reach our objectives, we reused<br />
existing components like PSA Peugeot Citroen<br />
ATFX gateway and the <strong>ASAM</strong> ODS library, LSF<br />
for job submission; we used standard Santorin
