Jumping 24 The Hanoverian 09|2012 Sport The series continue: Embassy II wins in Crans Montana In the shadow of the Olympic Games in London Hanoverian horses successfully compete on tradition-rich horse shows all over the world. Embassy II is much talked about. He once again wins a Grand Prix with his rider Hans-Dieter Dreher, now in Crans Montana. By Britta Züngel Alida The summer meeting in Gera/Germany offered great competition on three weekends. Tim Rieskamp-Goedeking rode Alida by Argentinus/Landadel (breeder: Hermann Hoelscher, Gehrde) into second place in the second jumper class for the Youngster-Cup for six-year olds on the last weekend. Alsvid Richie Moloney rode Alsvid by Escudo/Azur (breeder: Mareike Decker-van Leeuwen, Hohenhameln) into second place with one of the fastest rides in the “Speed Classics”at the CSIO in Hickstead/Great Britain. Loro Piana Athletica Athletica by Achill-Libero H/Pit (breeder: Arend Kamphorst, Prieros) was victorious right away winning a 1,50-m penalty/time class under rider Giulia Martinengo at her first competition in La Coruna/Spain. Caipirinha Caipirinha by Chequille/Lacros (breeder: Hubert Knigge, Ahlden) and rider Astrid Wulschner placed fifth with a faultless round in the second class for the Youngster-Cup on the first weekend in Gera. Crusty and Kai Scharffetter won two s-level classes in Gera. Photos: Frieler Calgary Thomas Weychert successfully rode Calgary by Calido/Lungau (breeder: Clemens Lambers, Beesten) winning the two-phase jumper class of the International Amateur-Tour after finishing the first jumper class in second position on the second weekend of the Summer Meeting in Gera. On the following Wednesday the pair added a fifth place in a speed class and a 2nd place in another two-phase jumper class to its success record. A Hanoverian dual victory was celebrated when Calgary placed second behind Crusty in the Grand Prix of the city Gera. Campagnarde Sebastian Haas and Campagnarde by Carabas/Cheenook (breeder: Hubert Knigge, Ahlden) placed forth in the Grand Prix of Can- teleu/France and in the Grand Prix of La Clusaz/France. Capitana (Hessian) The international rising generation of jumper riders met up on the third weekend of the CSI in Gera to compete for the European Youngster Cup. Karolin Borchert rode Capitana by Catano/Silvio (breeder: Fritz Rinne, Cornberg- Koenigswald) into forth position in the jumper class with jump-off. Carlotta Singular La Magnifica (VA) The course for the Grand Prix “Reach for the Sun” in Calgary/Canada lead over jumps of 1,60 m in height. Carlotta Singular La Magnifica by Chasseur/Singular Joter (breeder: Hans Meier, Selsingen) and rider Yann Candele finished the difficult jump-off in third place.
Carlos XXI (VA) Paul Freimüller rode Carlos XXI by Contendro/Don Carlos (breeder: Hildegard Goeppert, Himmelpforten) into third place in a twophase jumper class on the banks of the Lago Maggiore in Ascona/Switzerland. Cash Cash by Calido/Godehard (breeder: Jörg Naeve, Gross Wittensee) and Juergen Kraus finished a jumper class with jump-off in forth place at the CSI in Ascona. Celia Stephanie Gass from Switzerland and Celia by Conteur/Graf Grannus (breeder: Willi Schulz-Hausbrandt, Wittingen) enjoyed a forth place in a class of the Silver Tour on the second weekend in Gera. Chacco’s Spirit (VA) Chacco’s Spirit by Chacco-Blue/Esprit (breeder: Horst Roewer, Syke) is at the beginning of a promising career. Daniel Etter rode the seven-year old in the Youngster-Tour and placed second in the first qualification in Crans Montana/Switzerland. Chadron Chadron by Chacco-Blue/Drosselklang II (breeder: Breeding Farm Lewitz, Mühlen) and rider Jasmin Chen remained faultless placing fifth at the first competition of the Youngster- Cup for seven-year olds in Gera. The pair was just beat finishing in second place in the following speed class. Checker (VA) Checker by Contendro/ Glorieux (breeder: Rolf Eggerking, Brinkum) and rider Philipp Schober placed fifth in the Youngster-Cup for seven-year olds on the last weekend of the Summer Meeting in Gera. Colani Colani by Cornet Obolensky/Ribbeck (breeder: Heinrich Ramsbrock, Menslage) and rider Gina-Ayleen Wollnik finished a speed class of the Young Riders/U25-Tour in forth place on the first weekend in Wiener Neustadt/Austria. Only two riders qualified for the jump-off in a second class. Colani was the only one to remain faultless and won the class. The bay finished a two-phase jumper class in second place seven days later. L. B. Con Amore (VA) Con Amore by Contender/Voltaire (breeder: Heiko Oltmanns, Neuengland) had a convincing performance in the first speed class with rider Angelica Augustsson in Falsterbo/Sweden. The pair finished in forth place. They did well again a day later and enjoyed a second place. Crusty Kai Scharffetter saddled up Crusty by Cheenook/Landor S (breeder: Hajo and Maike Fritze, Hagen) and won the first S-level jumper classes of their joint career on the third weekend at Gera’s Summer Meeting. They led the way in the Prize of the City Gera and in an accumulator class after having finished second in an opening jumper class of the SML-Tour for amateurs. Cybermax Sebastian Haas and his mount Cybermax by Chico’s Boy/Landor S (breeder: Peter Niess, Buedingen) enjoyed a fifth place in the Championship of the Youngster-Tour for fiveyear olds in Wiener Neustadt. Davinia (Hessian) Davinia by Dartagnan/Rubin Star N (breeder: ZG Doell, Hungen) started out with a victory in the European Youngster Cup for riders U25 on the third weekend in Gera. Embassy II Embassy II by Escudo/Silvio (breeder: Dr. Bonny-Jasmin Jacobs, Bierbergen) collected a series of Grand Prix-victories. The eleven-year old also won the Grand Prix of Crans Montana with rider Hans-Dieter Dreher. Espoir (VA) Espoir by Escudo/Calypso II (breeder: Eberhard Jordan, Ehra-Lessien) and Sebastian Adams were victorious in an accumulator class of the Gold Tour on the second weekend in Gera. Estio Estio by Embassy/Landclassic (breeder: Joerg Baetje, Kranenburg) and his rider Nicholas Hochstadter from Liechtenstein placed forth in a two-phase jumper class of the Youngster-Tour on the second weekend of the Equestrian Summer Circuits in Wiener Neustadt/Austria. Even To Heaven The final round of the Grand Prix of Bratislava/Slovakia was very exciting. Only five riders qualified for the jump-off. Even To Heaven by Sport Espri/Freedom (breeder: Heiko Wiechert, Loxstedt-Nesse) and rider Roland Grimm from Switzerland finished in fifth place with two rails down. The next stop was Wiener Neustadt where Even To Heaven finished a jumper class of the Big Tour in fifth place, too. Forry Deluxe Forry Deluxe by For Pleasure/Landadel (breeder: Heike and Wilhelm Strunk, Bochum-Siepel) impressed under his rider Jan Wernke on a demanding course of the Youngster-Tour at the CHIO in Budapest/Hungary. The pair won the second qualification; a two-phase jumper class. Gin Fizz Gin Fizz by Graf Top/Acord II (breeder: Karl Wuestefeld, Duderstadt) had a clear round with rider Dirk Klapproth in a speed class of the Youngster-Cup placing forth on the third weekend at the CSI in Gera. They also placed forth in a two-phase jumper class. The pair finished the final in second place. Giselle (VA) Giselle by Graf Top/Drosselklang II (breeder: Joachim Schwarze, Oberndorf) descends from a successful dam line. Kim Kniha rode her into forth position in the final of the Youngster-Tour for seven-year olds in Wiener Neustadt. Goldstar Goldstar by Goldfever/Voltaire (breeder: Arend Kamphorst, Prieros) placed forth in an accumulator class of the Gold Tour with rider Mynou Diedrichsmeier on the second weekend in Gera. The pair finished the final in fifth place. Graf Moritz (VA) Dirk Klapproth was also successful in Gera with his second Graf Top-descendant. He rode Graf Moritz out of a dam by Classiker (breeder: Jürgen Siegert, Ganderkese) into forth place in a speed class of the Silver Tour on the third weekend. The pair improved to second place in a two-phase jumper class. GTI GTI by Go on Top/Colani (breeder: Werner Noll, Bad Soden) and Sebastian Haas finished a speed class in second place in Wiener Neustadt.
