summer auction in August. Great interest in <strong>the</strong><br />
riding horses became apparent during <strong>the</strong> training’s<br />

32 <strong>The</strong> <strong>Hanoverian</strong> <strong>09|2012</strong><br />
<strong>The</strong> collection included 85 pre-selected riding<br />
horses of which 75 sold on <strong>the</strong> auction block.<br />
62 participants exhibited dressage qualities and<br />
24 jumping ability. Twelve of <strong>the</strong>m proved to not<br />
only have dressage- and/or jumper talent but also<br />
be suitable for recreational riding. <strong>The</strong> <strong>Hanoverian</strong>s<br />
that were described as ”suitable for recreational<br />
riding” displayed remarkable calmness, strong nerves<br />
and easy rideability. Highlighting <strong>the</strong>se special<br />
qualities is fairly new to Verden’s auction program.<br />
<strong>The</strong> entire collection attracted great interest in foreign<br />
countries. 46 <strong>Hanoverian</strong>s found new homes<br />
outside Germany. It was “Love at first sight” for a<br />
customer from Chile who won an exciting bidding<br />
