Harvest Park
Young used machines are very welcome
The smell of fresh wall paint
greets the visitor entering
the foyer. The occupants
have just moved into the newly
constructed administration
and workshop building of Harvest
Park in Emsbüren. The naked
walls are still waiting for pictures,
and one or two removal
cartons have yet to be unpacked
in the offi ces. At present only
about 40 large machines are
standing in the yard. However,
there is space for around 200
such big machinery units on the
2.5 hectare plot. The key to the
building was offi cially handed
over to the new tenants at the
beginning of last December.
The address of Harvest Park,
Darwinstr. 1 in Emsbüren, Germany,
is so new that it has not
even found its way into the
Google Route Planner yet. But
even without the help of a navigation
system, Harvest Park is
easy to fi nd. The blue Harvest
logo on the silver facade with a
conspicuous green tick in place
of the “V” is clearly visible from
the autobahn. The machine
manufacturer Bernard Krone
has invested some euro 2 million
in the 1,000 m 2 workshop
and 200 m 2 administration tract
on the completely paved 2.5
hectare site.
Used harvesting machinery
such as combines, forage harvesters
and big balers from all
leading national and international
manufacturers will be on
sale at Harvest Park. The partners
in Harvest Park GmbH
are Maschinenfabrik Krone and
Martin Fehren (49).
Martin Fehren – known to
many in the industry from his
long years of work in the used
machinery trade – and Peter
Overhoff, Krone Sales Manager
Germany North, form the management
team.
Lankhorst is renting this
new location for dealing in machinery
and equipment from
Deutz-Fahr, Horsch and Krone
in the Southern Emsland and
Grafschaft Bentheim region.
Lankhorst General Manager
Heinz Arns was also present in
Site Engineer Nicola Arns
hands over the keys to
Peter Overhoff, Heinz Arens,
Martin Fehren and
Bernard Krone (l. to r.).
Emsbüren for the offi cial handing
over of the keys. He heads
fi ve branches of the company
with a workforce of around 70
and annual sales of around 150
new Deutz-Fahr tractors.
Five Lankhorst staff work in
the modern well-equipped Harvest
Park workshop. Alongside
their work for Lankhorst’s own
customers, they check, clean and
– if desired – repair the machines
delivered to Harvest Park.
In his speech on accepting the
keys from site engineer Nicola
Arns of the general contractor
B. Siehes GmbH, Emsbüren,
Martin Fehren stressed that
Harvest Park was a separate operation.
“We have to make a
profi t here as an independent
enterprise”, explained the har-
Harvest Park and the agricultural machinery trading company D. Lankhorst are working together
under the same roof at the autobahn junction A30/A31. A new site selling used harvesting
machinery under the name Harvest Park is developing here next to one of the Lankhorst branches.
vest machinery specialist. He
pointed out that the company
was not limited in any way to
the Krone programme. Krone
20 percent of the machines marketed by Harvest Park will
remain in Germany. The rest will go abroad.
