Established in 2001, the Committee is mandated to foster education on ethical issues;
provide consultation to the IAAP Executive Committee and Member Groups on ethical
matters; and to hear complaints against Individual Members and Routers in training to
become Individual Members. Additionally, the Committee considers complaints
against Member Groups involving allegations that the Group has not followed its own
Ethics’ Procedures.
This term, the Committee has provided the Routers with an extensive bibliography of
materials related to ethics. We are also planning an educational program for the 2010
Congress in Montreal.
Consultation has been provided to the Executive Committee and to its various Working
Groups, and a number of Ethics Codes for newly applying Groups have been reviewed.
The Committee has also informally consulted with several individuals concerning
specific ethical matters, and stands ready to receive formal complaints brought
before it.
