Iaap newsletter 28 - The new Israeli Jungian society

Our Institute organized several lectures around the “the spirit of the times” on the
following subjects:
“The end of meaning”; a round table with E. Cristiani, M.I. Wuehl, O. Mariani
(CIPA Milan) and special guest Wolfgang Giegerich, a well known German
member of the IAAP.
“Actuality of the theory of dreams in Jung”; we hosted Margaret Wilkinson
(SAP) with the participation of E. Cristiani and N. Fina (CIPA).
“Opposition between Civilizations” with P. Colaprico (reporter), M. De Paoli
and A. Roveda (publishers), and A. Orlandini (CIPA).
“Abuse of the object” with the participation of Jean Knox (SAP), N. Fina, C.
Vezzoli and F. Bisagni (CIPA).
“Clinical practice with adolescents in the technological era” with the
contribution of A. Maggiolini, C. Freddi, C. Miglioli; and M. Ceccarelli (CIPA).
A. Mazzarella (CIPA) organized a cycle of musical listening as a complementary
research of the individuation process.
Another important initiative with the most valuable contributions of our colleagues
was organized by our Scientific Committee: a conference on “Violence, a meeting
with the political and cultural world”. The event was open to the general public and
was very successful.
A group of analysts regularly meets once a month in order to discuss and improve the
training process of our school.
Turin
Our active group in Turin, organized a special meeting on the subject: “A social
network as a prevention of social conflicts” with some interesting contributions and
many participants.
Rome
Our Rome Institute organized several conferences on different interesting subjects.
The Italian psychoanalyst E. Borgna gave a lecture on “Emotions in therapy” and there
was also a cycle of lectures on the theme of the body:
“Written on the body. Self-damaging behaviour in adolescence”, by M. Ferrara;
“The body in analysis”, by L. Solano;
“The body in analytical psychology”, by D. Ribola;
“A relational perspective on the body”, by C. Arnetoli;
“The body and its diseases from the cognitive-evolutional point of view”, by C.
Ardovini;
“The use of the coach in analysis”, by V. Lingiardi.
