Iaap newsletter 28 - The new Israeli Jungian society

Psychology in London and co-editor of the Journal of Analytical Psychology, will be
running professional development events on the Self for ANZSJA in Sydney and
Melbourne in August 2009.
ANZSJA also looks forward to honoring one of our most venerable members in June
2009: Wilson Daniel, on the occasion of his 80 th Birthday, at our annual meeting to be
held in Christchurch, New Zealand. Wilson is another ANZSJA analyst to epitomize
breadth of learning, with backgrounds in teaching, music, classics, modern languages,
law, theology, psychology and psychotherapy. He has been a formative member of our
organization, being the first Convener of Training and in recent years being
responsible for the revision of our Constitution.
Many traditions hold that the key to a fulfilling life is balance, and one of our
analysts has found a ‘cross-fertilizing’ adjunct to analytic work in olive farming! Peter
Fullerton reports that ‘I am continuing to find the time spent on the cycle of
cultivating, harvesting and pressing our olive oil a most rewarding counterpoint to the
demands and pleasures of my analytic practice.’
In short, ANZSJA is a robust society which celebrates its rich diversity, breadth,
depth and creative dialogue both within its walls and with other schools and areas of
concern.
