6.3 Activities prior to use
6.3.1 Function check residual current circuit breaker

DANGER!
Risk of injury due to electric current!
If the residual current circuit breaker is not fully
operational or used incorrectly, components may
become live due to malfunctions. Coming into
contact with live components may cause injury.
Therefore:
– Do not operate the machine without a residual
current circuit breaker.
– Check if the residual current circuit breaker
functions properly prior to every use.
– Never operate the machine unless the residual
current circuit breaker is fully functional.
Proceed as follows to test the operability of the residual current
circuit breaker before using the machine:
1. Insert the residual current circuit breaker vertically into the
power socket.
2. Press the RESET button (1) on the residual current circuit
breaker.
The residual current circuit breaker is not operational unless
� the control lamp (2) lights up red.
3. Press the TEST button (1) on the residual current circuit
breaker.
The residual current circuit breaker is not operational unless
� the control lamp (2) goes out and
� a distinct switching noise can be heard.
After the function test was completed successfully:
4. Press the RESET button.
The residual current circuit breaker is operational.
