• EGNOS integration in GALILEO. The Transport
Council approved “the integration of EGNOS
programme into the Galileo programme which
entails the granting of TENT-T funds for EGNOS
programme future operation and evolution
activities. Aena will be involved in the future
decisions on EGNOS system through a Framework
Agreement between the common Galileo
company and all the investors in EGNOS.
• GALILEO.
- In May, the ESA Member States have reached
an agreement on their participating percentage
in the development and validation of Galileo
programme. Spain, through the CDTI will
contribute in this phase with 56 million euros,
which represents over 10%.
- The GALILEI project of the European
Commission has concluded. Aena was the
coordinator of all the EOIG members for this
project. Aena participated in the task of
“Impact of Interoperability on Galileo system
definition”, and in the task of “Certification
and standardisation”.
- In October, the Galileo JU started the process
for the Galileo Concession by an invitation to
tender to pre-select the concession-holder.
Aena has participated through the Eutelsat
consortia bidding, along with Logica CMG and
Hispasat.
- Moreover, GALILEO SYSTEMS AND SERVICES,
company participated by Aena, continued its
industry activities and launched LBS
applications activities as a new business unit.
• GBAS. The preparation and/or updating of
supporting material to the future operational
certification of GBAS systems within the Air
Navigation System has been concluded. In
parallel, experimental flights with the prototype
station installed have been carried out at Malaga
Airport with a testing aircraft of Senasa’s property,
contributing important results to the adjustment
of airborne avionics and console as well as to the
Central System data processing.
European Commission
• APPROVE. Its objective is the implementation of
arrival instrument proceedings based on P-RNAV
at several European airports, in Spain namely
Seville. The third and last European Commission’s
Workshop of the APPROVE Project was held on
25 and 26 November.

• Integración de EGNOS en GALILEO. El Consejo de Transportes
aprobó “la integración del programa EGNOS en el programa
Galileo”, que conlleva la concesión de fondos TEN-T al programa
EGNOS para futuras actividades de operación y evolución. Aena
estará involucrada en las futuras decisiones sobre el sistema
EGNOS a través de un Acuerdo Marco entre la empresa común
Galileo y todos los inversores en EGNOS.
• GALILEO.
- En el mes de mayo, los Estados Miembros de la ESA han llegado
a un acuerdo sobre su porcentaje de participación en la fase
de desarrollo y validación del programa Galileo. España, a través
del CDTI contribuirá en esta fase con 56 millones de euros,
lo que representa algo más del 10%.
- Se ha concluido el proyecto GALILEI de la Comisión Europea,
donde Aena fue el coordinador de todos los miembros del EOIG
para este proyecto. Aena participó en la tarea sobre “Impacto
de la interoperabilidad en la definición del sistema Galileo”, y
en la tarea “Certificación y estandarización”.
- Iniciado en octubre por la Galileo JU el proceso de concesión
de Galileo con la convocatoria de preselección de empresa
concesionaria, en la que ha participado Aena en consorcio de
Eutelsat junto con Lógica CMG e Hispasat.
- Además, GALILEO SISTEMAS Y SERVICIOS, empresa participada
por Aena, ha continuado con las actividades de índole industrial
y lanzado las actividades de aplicaciones LBS como nueva unidad
de negocio.
• GBAS. Se ha finalizado la preparación y/o actualización del material
soporte a la futura certificación operacional de los sistemas
GBAS en el Sistema de Navegación Aérea. Paralelamente, se han
realizado vuelos experimentales con la estación prototipo instalada
en el Aeropuerto de Málaga con una aeronave de ensayos propiedad
de Senasa, aportando importantes resultados para la adecuación
de la aviónica y consola embarcada en la aeronave así como
para la aplicación de procesado de datos del Sistema Central.
Comisión Europea
• APPROVE. Cuyo objetivo es la implementación de procedimientos
instrumentales de llegada, basados en P-RNAV en algunos
aeropuertos europeos, en España, concretamente en Sevilla. El
25 y 26 de noviembre, tuvo lugar la celebración del tercer y último
Workshop del Proyecto APPROVE de la Comisión Europea.
