Aeronautical Information Service (AIS)
• As for responsibility entrusted to the Air
Navigation Directorate of providing Aeronautical
Information at a national level, new Upper and
Lower Airspace Radionavigation Charts,
containing ATS routes network as well as essential
information to plan instrument flights, have been
published.
• In the same way, it must be mentioned the AIS
participation in Aena stands at the Tourism
International Fair (FITUR), Maastricht ATC
Exhibition and at Igualada Fair.
Maintenance
• Six Technical Maintenance Handbooks and two
amendments related to the Systems and Facilities
managed by Maintenance and Technical Division
have been produced.
• 65 ILS calibrations, 85 VOR calibrations and 75
calibrations of NDB equipments have been carried
out. In supporting this work, the GESNA
Programme (Management of the Air Navigation
System State) has been installed and implemented
at several airports and at all control centres.
International Management
ICAO. As regards the International Civil Aviation
Organisation, the following must be mentioned:
• Participation in the Fifth Worldwide Air Transport
Conference that took place in March.
• Participation in the Eleventh ICAO Worldwide Air
Navigation Conference.
Eurocontrol
On 28 April 2003, last Spanish Local Convergence
and Implementation Plan (LCIP) 2003-2007 was
approved. It was signed by the Spanish Air Force
Major Commander in Chief of the Operations
Division, the Deputy Director General of Air
Navigation and Airports Systems of the DGCA and
the Aena Air Navigation Director. Evaluation of
fulfilled tasks contained in the Spanish LCIP has
resulted in a convergence degree of 88.78% as for
31 December 2003.

sistemas existentes de navegación y aproximación a los
aeropuertos, cabe destacar el ILS CAT III de Vigo, además del de
Asturias antes citado.
Servicio de Información Aeronáutica (AIS)
• En cuanto a la responsabilidad que tiene encomendada la
Dirección de Navegación Aérea del suministro en el ámbito nacional
de la Información Aeronáutica, se han publicado las nuevas
Cartas de Radionavegación Espacio Aéreo Superior e Inferior, que
contienen la red de rutas ATS así como la información necesaria
para la planificación de vuelos instrumentales.
• Asimismo destacar la participación del AIS en el stand de Aena en
la Feria Internacional de Turismo (FITUR), en la exhibición ATC de
Maastricht y en el Stand de Aena en la Feria de Igualada.
Mantenimiento
• Se han elaborado seis Manuales Técnicos de Mantenimiento y dos
enmiendas relativos a los Sistemas e Instalaciones gestionados por
la División de Mantenimiento y Explotación Técnica.
• Se han realizado durante el año 67 calibraciones de ILS, 85 calibraciones
VOR y 75 calibraciones de equipos NDB. Como apoyo a
este trabajo se ha instalado y puesto en marcha el programa
GESNA (Gestión del Estado del Sistema de Navegación Aérea) en
varios aeropuertos y todos los Centros de Control.
Gestión Internacional
OACI. En el ámbito de la Organización de Aviación Civil
Internacional cabe destacar:
• Participación en la 5ª Conferencia Mundial de Transporte Aéreo
celebrada en el mes de Marzo.
• Participación en la 11ª Conferencia Mundial de Navegación Aérea
de OACI.
Eurocontrol
El pasado 28 de abril de 2003 se aprobó el Plan Local Español de
Convergencia e Implantación (LCIP) 2003-2007, siendo firmado por
el General Jefe de la División de Operaciones del Estado Mayor del
Aire, el Subdirector General de Sistemas de Navegación Aérea y
