lock & unlock phone<br />

You can lock your phone manually or set it to lock<br />

automatically whenever you turn it off.<br />

To lock or unlock your phone, you need the four-digit<br />

unlock code. A locked phone still rings or vibrates for<br />

incoming calls or messages, but you have to unlock<br />

it to answer.<br />

You can make emergency calls on your phone even<br />

when it is locked (see page 34).<br />

To lock your phone:<br />

Find it: s > w Settings > Security > Phone Lock > Lock Now<br />

or Automatic Lock<br />

Enter the four-digit unlock code, then press Ok.<br />

To unlock your phone:<br />

When you see Enter Unlock Code, enter your four-digit<br />

unlock code and press Ok.<br />

lock external keys<br />

You can lock your phone’s external keys to<br />

prevent accidental key presses.<br />

To lock the external keys automatically after a<br />

specified time:<br />

Find it: s > w Settings > Security > ExternalKeyLock<br />

1 With Timer: highlighted, press Change.<br />

2 Scroll to 2 seconds, 4 seconds, or 8 seconds, and press<br />

Select. To turn off the automatic key lock, select Off.<br />

To lock the external keys while the flip is closed,<br />

press and hold the smart/speakerphone key.<br />

if you forget a code<br />

Your phone’s four-digit unlock code is set at the factory<br />

to 1234 or to the last four digits of your phone number.<br />

The six-digit security code is set to 000000.<br />
