ALTERNATIVAS PARA USOS DEL LINDANO
REGISTRADAS EN CANADÁ
The following table indicates some other chemistries that were available in Canada in May 2001
to control pests in sites for which lindane was registered. The last date of use of any agricultural
product containing lindane will be December 31, 2004.
*This list includes active ingredients from PMRA database of registered products, May 31, 2001
which has been updated July 2003 a) to remove pesticides the PMRA has publically indicated
will be discontinued under the re-evaluation program, and b) to include seed-treatment products
registered since the list was generated. As all pesticides registered prior to 1995 are under reevaluation
in Canada, some chemistries listed here may be discontinued in the future. Veterinary
products are from Recommendations For The Control Of Insects and Other Arthropod Pests Of
Livestock and Poultry In Western Canada. Western Committee on Livestock Pests (WCLP).
http://www.agr.gov.sk.ca/apps/insectPest/ (website searched June 4, 2001). Note that veterinary
drugs are regulated under the Food and Drugs Act (i.e., are not regulated as pest control products
subject to registration under the Pest Control Products Act).
