What’s ARGEM?<br />
• ARGEM (the Regional Energy Ag<strong>en</strong>cy) is a Public Foundation owned by the<br />
Regional Administration of Murcia.<br />
• It takes part of a vast regional <strong>en</strong>ergy ag<strong>en</strong>cies network in Europe, promoted by<br />
the European Commission.<br />
• We act in the Energy sector in all its forms, that is, the rational use of <strong>en</strong>ergy,<br />
<strong>en</strong>ergy effici<strong>en</strong>cy and, of course, r<strong>en</strong>ewable <strong>en</strong>ergy.<br />
• ARGEM provi<strong>de</strong>s services to the community, acting on behalf of the regional and<br />
local administration, or helping the citiz<strong>en</strong>s directly.<br />
• Among these services, it contributes to the improvem<strong>en</strong>t the regional <strong>en</strong>ergy<br />
effici<strong>en</strong>cy by offering training, grants and ev<strong>en</strong> un<strong>de</strong>rtaking <strong>de</strong>velopm<strong>en</strong>t<br />
projects.<br />
• We have <strong>de</strong>veloped several projects using biomass for heating, and we are<br />
promoting a 16 MW Power Plant using wood chips.<br />
