The specifi c objectives of the AGREN LOGIC project are the following:
– To test and optimize existing machinery and prototypes, as well as logistic alternatives
for agricultural biomass collection and supply under different conditions
in order to reduce collection energy and economic costs and optimize the quality
of the collected biomass.
– To demonstrate under real conditions optimized machinery and logistic alternatives
for the AR under different supply conditions (biomass on fi eld production rates,
pedoclimatic conditions, on fi eld biomass deposition conditions, transport,
etc.) and demand requirements (amount and quality of the biomass) making an
integral and integrated assessment of the sustainability of the AR energy supply
demonstration studied chains. The economic analysis, as well as the energy, environmental
and social LCA analysis of the demonstrated chains will be carried
out and will provide reliable and integrated information on the sustainability of
the AR logistic chains.
– To develop new tools for the integral and integrated evaluation and optimization
of sustainable agricultural residues biomass supply chains to heat and power
plants, considering the diversity of production and market demand conditions
and the economic, environmental and social aspects involved in the logistic
chains.
– To create new tools to promote the implementation of agricultural residues use
in the bioenergy sector.
