Trump ha puesto su campaña
en los rieles y alcanzó a
su rival democrático después
de una serie de controversias
durante el verano.
Pero las contrariedades están
aún contra él mientras la campaña
entra a sus semanas finales,
según una importante unidad de
investigación y análisis.
Pero Joseph Lake, jefe de predicciones
y la Unidad de Inteligencia
del Economista (EIU por
sus siglas en inglés), ha dicho
que hay dos en tres chances que
la Sra. Clinton entrará a la Casa
Blanca.
Lake dice que se espera que la
demócrata y antigua primera
Dama gane las elecciones de
noviembre porque su rival billonario
es aún más impopular que
ella
Él dijo: “La hemos llamado la
competencia de la impopularidad.
Estos son dos candidatos
extremadamente impopulares.
Son más impopulares que los
candidatos de las elecciones anteriores”.
El argumentó que Clinton probará
ser más exitosa que los rivales
republicanos al atacar los
antecedentes mixtos de negocios
y declaraciones controversiales.
El debate de Televisión mas tarde
será una oportunidad para
que Clinton le encienda el fuego
a Trump en persona por primera
vez. Trump ha causado controversia
haciendo un llamado para
que se construya un muro en la
frontera de México y una deportación
masiva de inmigrantes
indocumentados en los Estados
Unidos.
Lake dijo: “Trump ha hecho
todo lo que puede para alinear
y ofender a los votantes de los
grupos de las minorías – esto
lo seguirá en noviembre”Sin
embargo, Trump aún tiene una
buena oportunidad de entrar en
la Casa Blanca- especialmente
si hay un ataque terrorista o una
baja económica en los Estados
Unidos.
El candidato republicano inmediatamente
habló sobre el ataque
terrorista en Nice y ha prometido
previamente “bombardear a
ISIS”
También declaró “es mejor que
nos pongamos muy duros, “en el
despertar del bombardeo en New
York que hirió a 29 personas,
el 17 de septiembre. El tema de
terrorismo y seguridad está a su
favor. El califica muy alto entre
los votantes sobre seguridad, ley
y orden”, dijo el Lake.
Si hay un ataque terrorista doméstico
por alguien del extranjero,
los votantes correrían hacia el
en esa situación”.
Él agregó: “Si la economía de
los Estados Unidos pasa por una
baja grande, los votantes desertarán
a Clinton porque la administración
puede culparse por el
estado de la economía.
Por otro lado, la actual estabilidad
de la economía bajo el presidente
demócrata Barack Obama
es probable que la ayude a llegar
a la Casa Blanca.
La matemática electoral también
favorece a Clinton porque ella
solamente necesita ganar dos o
tres estados clave según la EIU...
Se estima que Trump tiene que
ganar siete de esos estados clave
para poder conseguir los 270
votos del colegio electoral que se
necesitan para ganar.

Will Clinton or Trump become the next US president?

Trump has got his campaign
back on track and caught up
with his Democratic rival
after a series of controversies over
the summer.
But the odds are still staked
against him as the campaign enters
its final weeks, according to a
leading research and analysis unit.
But Joseph Lake, head of forecasting
at the Economist Intelligence
Unit (EIU), has said there is a two
in three chance that Clinton will
enter the White House.
Mr Lake said the Democratic former
First Lady is expected to win
the November election because
her billionaire rival is even more
unpopular than her.
He said: “We have called it the
unpopularity contest. These are
two extremely unpopular candidates.
They are much more unpopular
than candidates in past elections.”
He argued that Clinton will prove
more successful than Trump’s
Republican rivals at attacking his
mixed business record and controversial
statements.
The primetime TV debate later
will be an opportunity for Clinton
to turn up the heat on Trump in
person for the first time.
Trump has caused controversy
by calling for a huge wall on the
border of Mexico and the mass deportation
of undocumented immigrants
in the US.
Mr Lake said: “Trump has done
everything he can to alienate and
offend a lot of minority voters -
that will backfire on him in November.”
Nevertheless Trump still has a
good chance of entering the White
House - especially if there is
a terrorist attack or an economic
downturn in the US.
The Republican candidate immediately
spoke out over the terrorist
attack in Nice and has previously
promised to “bomb the hell out of
ISIS”.
He also declared “we better get
very, very tough” in the wake of
the New York bombing, which injured
29 people, on September 17.
“The issue of terrorism and security
plays to his advantage. He
ranks highly among voters on security,
law and order,” Mr Lake
said.
“If there was a domestic terror
attack by someone from abroad,
voters would flock to him in that
situation.”
He added: “If the US economy
does go through a large downturn,
the voters will desert Clinton because
the administration can be
blamed for the state of the economy.”
On the flip side, the current stability
of the economy under Democratic
President Barack Obama
is likely to help propel her to the
White House.
The electoral math also favours
Clinton because she only needs to
win two or three of the swing states,
according to the EIU.
It is estimated that Trump would
have to win seven of these swing
states in order to get the 270 electoral
college votes needed to win.
