Mode of function<br />
By actuating the trigger-lever (8) the cartridge is ignited by<br />
the ring-pin (1785). The gas pressure of the ignited cartridge<br />
thrusts the stunning bolt (5) out of locking piece (4)<br />
and through the skullcap of the animal stunning it (brain).<br />
Environmental protection<br />
Disused apparatuses as well as exchanged parts and packaging<br />
consist of valuable recyclable material. Please dispose<br />
of accordingly (page 3, E).<br />
Putting into operation/Handling<br />
1. Securing the device<br />
The constructive layout of trigger-lever (8) prevents the device<br />
from triggering off when not tensioned. It is also protected<br />
against premature triggering off during tightening of ringpin<br />
(1785) should ngers of user slip off tensioning grip (1786).<br />
The trigger level (8) is additionally secured with a protective<br />
strap (20) against unintentional triggering through impacts.<br />
2. Cartridges<br />
The VSG-9LC may be operated only in accordance with<br />
DIN EN 16264 and only with cattle euthanization cartridges<br />
of caliber 9x17 center-re with C.I.P. approval in effect. Only<br />
the color-coded loading value for the respective slaughter<br />
animal size may be used. Load strengths (example of cartridges<br />
from the RUAG company, type RSW):<br />
