Green Tea with fresh Mint Leaves
If there is a national drink in Morocco, it is green tea
with fresh mint leaves.
Preparation Time: 15 minutes | Serves 4–6
2 tablespoon green tea
1 handful of fresh mint leaves (nana mint)
6 teaspoon sugar
Add all ingredients into a metal tea pot or a small
pot, add approx. half a litre of water and boil tea for
10 minutes. Your tea is now readyforuse. According
to Moroccan tradition, tea is poured from one pot to
another several times.
Did you know? There are many different ways to prepare tea in Morocco. Yet the tea
ritual is always a privilege reserved to the host: several times, the tea is poured from
the glass into the tea pot and back. In this way, before serving, the tea is thoroughly
mixed, frothed up, and fully infused with mint flavor.
