klassische Werke wie Schwanensee und Go For Barocco.
unvergleichliches Tanzerlebnis!
[EN] Sweeping all before them, and making sure they leave a trail of indelible memories behind, the male corps of
Ballet Trockadero have been bringing the fun and joy back in to ballet since 1974. Dressed in tutus, the troupe
performs with glee classics from the ballet repertoire - giving them a twist but remaining reverential, delivering
deliberate mistakes on stage, but never patronising their audience. The dancers all come from fairly traditional
backgrounds, but somehow were sucked into the vortex that is the Trocks and the comic edge that lends the company
its uniqueness. Here the Trocks will perform Swan Lake and Paquita as well as a few surprises. A special
performance on 31 December will be a real treat for anyone looking to start the New Year with something completely
different.
» The Trocks' gimmick, which has kept it together and dancing to sold-out houses for decades, is an affectionate
travesty that skewers the famed Russian ballets, with their noble repertories and knifeedge technique, and equally
the bulldozer ballerinas who would smilingly cold-cock any corps member audacious enough to block the sightline
of a fouetté. The New York Times
