4.0 REGULATIONS
4.1 DISTRIBUTOR (Fig. 23)
The volumetric distributing device, GRINTA, is essentially
composed of four elements for seeds distribution:
A) aluminium monobloc frame;
B) agitator element;
C) dosing rollers;
D) Feeler pin.
4.1.1 MONOBLOC FRAME
The monobloc frame is made of aluminium and offers the
following main advantages:
- realization of very high precision and high quality over time;
- resistance to the effects of UV rays or to the problems of harsh
autside temperatures;
- high resistance to corrosion;
- quick simple maintenance: in a few minutes we can completely
remove the components of the doser without fully unscrewing
the screws, using just one spanner.
4.1.2 AGITATOR ELEMENT
- Guarantee of continuous feeding to the dosing rollers.
The agitator has a diameter of 85 mm and consists of 4 elements
(curved pins). If the agitator is running too fast, its mixing effect
can be halved, by removing the two center pins. The power of the
agitator is reduced by means of the drive torque transmitted by
the external round belt, in order to safeguard against damage to
the seeds that could compromise their capacity to sprout in the
soil. The agitator pulls the seed downwards in the dosing roller.
Under normal circumstances, the agitator ALWAYS stays still. It
only comes into operation when there are product gaps
between the agitator and the roller. Since the GASPARDO dosing
rollers ALWAYS transport the seeds along the entire length, in
contrast with sliding gear or fixed wheel systems, there is virtually
no risk of seeding gaps occurring, even in the case of perennial
rye grass, fescue and grass. (It is always advisable to use the
correct wheels for the seeds to be planted). The agitator can be
disabled by simply removing the drive belt.
- To remove the curved pin, simply pull it towards yourself to
detach it from the agitator axle (Fig. 24).
- To disable the agitator, lift the round belt above the edge of the
drive pulley and, on the opposite side, rotate the dosing roller in
the driving direction. The belt will come off (Fig. 25).
(To fit the belt, see chapter on dosing roller)
- Simply leave the belt on the drive shaft (Fig. 26).
