Still, the group lacked one blade to provide lift to its business:
managing a regular line. Starting on January 1, 2016, this vacuum
will be filled, because Monacair, after having won the tender, will
connect Monaco and Nice with numerous daily flights. This is a
new challenge for Gilbert Schweitzer, as results must be tangible
in this priority for the Principality. “We bought new, singleturbine
machines, Airbus EC130s, to make these flights,” he says.
“They can accommodate six passengers, all seated in the
direction of travel, allowing them to take in the extraordinary
landscape. These very comfortable machines are also air
conditioned. We want to increase the quality of the transportation
experience and offer VIP service. The helicopter is the first
contact the customer has when visiting the Principality. Our goal
is to offer customers the best, both during the trip and in the
terminals when we greet them. To this end, we were consulted
by executives of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur to develop the new
helicopter satellite. In 2018, the Monaco terminal renovation will
be completed. There, too, we will offer very upscale service. Not
only is comfort important, but everything must be done to save
the customer time. He can book with his smartphone, request
tailor-made services, and will soon have access to direct flights
in other global locations, even from Monaco, through the
connection of helicopters and business or commercial aircraft
we’re putting in place. We must always adapt to our customers’
needs and offer them the best service during reception, boarding,
transport, and landing. It’s hard enough to win over customers
the first time; even harder to keep them. So meeting the most
exacting standards is an obsession for us.”
