Lentement mais sûrement, ADEMA continue son parcours dans<br />
sa nouvelle configuration. C’est un long cheminement qui se<br />
prête à tous les défis, dont les maîtres mots sont : connectivité<br />
aérienne, attractivité, sécurité aéroportuaire…La réhabilitation<br />
et l’extension de l’aérogare de Ravoraha à Sainte-Marie,<br />
réalisées dès 2015 pour booster le développement du tourisme,<br />
notamment pour l’accueil de l’incontournable festival annuel des<br />
Baleines relèvent de ces enjeux.<br />
Actuellement, pour compléter la mise à dispositions<br />
d’infrastructures répondant aux normes internationales, le<br />
processus de certification de l’aérodrome a été lancé pour<br />
permettre des dessertes régionales. Bien entendu, chaque<br />
chose a son prix, et la réactualisation des redevances passagers<br />
récurrente à ces investissements doit être comprise comme<br />
un mal nécessaire pour pouvoir disposer d’infrastructures<br />
adéquates plutôt que comme un frein à l’essor du tourisme.<br />

Slowly but surely, ADEMA continues the journey towards<br />
its new configuration. It is a long process that focuses on<br />
all kinds of challenges, where the ultimate watchwords<br />
are: aerial connectivity, attractiveness, airport security...<br />
The rehabilitation and extension of the Ravoraha Airport<br />
in Sainte-Marie, completed in 2015, in order to boost<br />
tourism development and particularly the hosting of the<br />
Annual Whale Festival, falls within these challenges.<br />
Presently, in order to have infrastructure compliant<br />
with international standards, the aerodrome certification<br />
process has been launched to allow for regional<br />
connections. Obviously, everything has a price, and<br />
the recurrent updates of passenger royalties to these<br />
investments should be understood as a necessary evil in<br />
order to have adequate infrastructures rather than an<br />
obstacle to tourism development.<br />
