Le fleuve Sambirano se trouve dans la région
Diana, à Ambanja. Pour rejoindre cette ville, prenez
l’avion, débarquez à l’aéroport d’Arrachart de Diégo,
puis continuez en voiture. Embarquez à bord d’une
pirogue ou d’un bateau pour traverser la rivière.
Sambirano River is in the Diana region, Ambanja.
To reach this city, fly to Arrachart airport in
Diego, then continue by car. Take a canoe or a
boat to cross the river.

Pour vous reposer après votre traversée du
fleuve, rejoignez Ambanja et logez à l’Hôtel
Restaurant Cocotiers, au Palma Nova ou au
Bungalow Restaurant Hermes ou à l’Hôtel
La Timonière. Si vous souhaitez profiter de
l’hospitalité légendaire des Malgaches, logez
chez l’habitant dans les villages situés sur les
rives. Les aventuriers se plairont en faisant du
bivouac dans ces mêmes villages.

at the Bungalow Restaurant Hermes or at the Hotel
La Timonière. If you wish to enjoy the legendary
hospitality of the Malagasy people, stay at the
inhabitant in the villages located on the banks. The
adventurers will delight in bivouac in the villages.

Pour vous remplir la panse, l’idéal serait
de préparer un panier pique-nique. Goûtez
également aux spécialités locales en mangeant
dans les petits restaurants tenus par la
population.

Que voir? / What to see?
Bon nombre de petits villages sont installés
sur les berges de la Sambirano. Comptez
entre autres Ambobaka, Marotolana ou
Antsiratsira. Rendez-vous également sur la
presqu’île d’Ambato et dans la réserve forestière
d’Ambohidravy. Si l’envie vous prend, partez
pour une ascension du Maromokotra. La ville
d’Ambanja et le port d’Ankify valent également le
détour.
Many small villages are settled on the banks
of Sambirano. These include Ambobaka,
Marotolana and Antsiratsira. Also visit the
Ambato Peninsula and the Ambohidravy Forest
Reserve. If you feel like it, climb Maromokotra.
The town of Ambanja and the port of Ankify are
worth a visit as well.
