THE HOTEL METROPOLE MONTE-CARLO'S COMMITMENT
TO SAFEGUARD THE PLANET
DEPUIS 2008, EN ÉCHO À LA FONDATION PRINCE ALBERT II DÉDIÉE À LA PROTECTION DES ÉQUILIBRES
VITAUX DE LA TERRE, L’HÔTEL MÉTROPOLE MONTE-CARLO SE MOBILISE POUR L’ENVIRONNEMENT.
SINCE 2008, IN ECHO TO THE PRINCE ALBERT II FOUNDATION'S DEDICATION TO PROTECTING THE EARTH'S
VITAL BALANCE, THE HOTEL METROPOLE HAS BEEN MOBILIZING SUPPORT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT.
La « Green Attitude » à l’Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo consiste à
favoriser les économies d’énergie dans l’hôtel et développer des
stratégies d’actions éco-responsables en dehors de l’hôtel afin de
développer une vraie « culture d’entreprise » écologique. Tous les
trimestres, le « Comité Green » composé de 14 collaborateurs issus des
différents services de l’établissement, élabore des actions « vertes ».
Le 9 juin dernier, en partenariat avec la Ville de Menton, les
collaborateurs de l’hôtel, accompagnés de leurs enfants, ont participé à
une collecte de déchets sur la plage. Une opération intitulée « La mer
commence ici » pour sensibiliser les participants à changer les
comportements au quotidien. En effet, chaque année, près de 6,5
milliards de kilos de déchets plastiques sont déversés dans les océans. Si
les sources de ces déchets sont multiples, il y a pourtant un point commun
à cette pollution : l’Homme, et ses modes de consommation et de
production. Agissons tous ensemble pour sensibiliser les générations
actuelles et futures à ce désastre environnemental afin de changer les
comportements pour la protection des océans.
At the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, "Green Attitude" consists of
supporting energy savings in the hotel and developing strategies for
eco-responsible actions outside the establishment to foster a real
ecological "corporate culture". Every three months, the Green
Committee, comprised of 14 employees from different departments in
the hotel, focuses its attention on "green" activities. On the 9th of June,
with hotel employees, accompanied by their children in partnership
with the Municipality of Menton, ave participated to a clean-up
operation of the beach, entitled "The Sea Starts Here". It will aim at
making participants more aware of the need to change every day
behaviour. Each year, almost 6.5 billion kilos of plastic waste are
thrown into the sea. While there are many sources of this kind of waste,
there is a point in common shared by this pollution: human beings and
their methods of production and consumption. Let us all act together
to make present and future generations more aware of this
environmental disaster, in order to change behaviour and protect the
oceans.
