with the launch of a portable NIR fruit sorting unit.
Moreover, an important technical-commercial agreement
was reached with one of the industry’s biggest plant
engineering firms; the agreement concerns the production
of sorting machines equipped with our technology.
In the Olfactory Systems area important advances
vis-à-vis basic technology to improve the performance
of our ‘electronic noses’ has been made and a special
machine version for external monitoring of odorous
emissions near areas of high olfactory impact
(e.g. waste treatment plants) has been developed.
In this regard a technical-commercial agreement
has been signed with a world-leading company,
which will be entrusted with the promotion of our product.
Sales of Vision Systems in the traditional closures industry
have grown continuously and the application
of our technology has been extended to promising
new markets such as the pharmaceutical industry.
Through constant technological growth and heavy
investment in research, the Automation division
has significantly contributed to the maintenance
and improvement of other divisions’ competitiveness.
