SETTEMBRE 2012 - www.lavoce.ca163° edizione del Rally Cento Migliaun altro grande SUCCESSO!Montreal, 11 settembre 2012 – Lʼ8 settembre scorso si è svolta laterza edizione del rally automobilistico Cento Miglia a favore del ChildrenʼsHospital di Montreal, Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal(IRCM) e delle iniziative filantropiche della FCCI.Questʼedizione, sotto la presidenza del governatore Sig. J. Paulin,grande filantropo della nostra comunità, è stata un grande successo.Più di una cinquantina di auto ha preso dʼassalto il Centro Leonardoda Vinci. Il rally ha quindi preso il via per le strade di Montreal ed èproseguito al Parc du Domain Vert a Mirabel per poi finire allʼHangarAviation Etcetera, dove erano previsti un cocktail dinatoire e una venditaallʼasta oltre alla presenza dellʼaereo F18 dellʼAeronautica MilitareCanadese. The challenging but enjoyableroute finally ended at the Aviation Etcetera Hangar where deliciouscocktails, an exciting auction and animpressive F18 Canadian Militaryairplane awaited guests. Au Chili, la communautéa ouvert un « Comedor » (salleà manger) qui permet aux enfants pauvres de venir se nourrir à raisonde trois fois par semaine. Au sud du Pérou, à Tacna, elle a vu des milliersde gens déplacés à cause dʼun tremblement de terre et qui seretrouvent dans des petites cabanes: « Jʼai vu des personnes âgéeset surtout des enfants complètement délaissés et abandonnés. » Ilsont besoin de notre aide.Espérance de vie Depuis quelques années, lʼAssociation accueille durantlʼété des enfants de la Biélorussie. En effet, pour éliminer la radioactivitédue à lʼexplosion de Tchernobyl, ils doivent sortir du pays àquelques reprises pour changer dʼair et se nourrir convenablement.Même après 25 ans, plusieurs personnes meurent ou vivent avec desinfirmités dues aux effets nocifs de cet environnement contaminé quicause plusieurs maladies, tout particulièrement le cancer de la glandethyroïde.Enfants du Monde Quʼils vivent au sud, au nord, à lʼest ou à lʼouestdu globe, des enfants nous tendent la main.
