9. Warranty1. In the case that a KESSEL product is defective,KESSEL has the option of repairingor replacing the product. If the productremains defective after the second attemptto repair or replace the product or itis economically unfeasible to repair or replacethe product, the customer has theright to cancel the order / contract or reducepayment accordingly. KESSEL mustbe notified immediately in writing of defectsin a product. In the case that the defectis not visible or difficult to detect,KESSEL must be notified immediately inwriting of the defect as soon as it is discovered.If the product is repaired or replaced,the newly repaired or replacedproduct shall receive a new warranty identicalto that which the original (defective)product was granted. The term defectiveproduct refers only to the product or partneeding repair or replacement and not necessarilyto the entire product or unit.KESSEL products are warranted for a periodof 24 month. This warranty period beginson the day the product is shippedform KESSEL to its customer. The warrantyonly applies to newly manufacturedproducts. Additional information can befound in section 377 of the HGB.In addition to the standard warranty, KES-SEL offers an additional 20 year warrantyon the polymer bodies of class I / II fuelseparators, grease separators, inspectionchambers, wastewater treatment systemsand rainwater storage tanks. This additionalwarranty applies to the watertightness,usability and structural soundness of theproduct.A requirement of this additional warrantyis that the product is properly installed andoperated in accordance with the valid installationand user's manual as well as thecorresponding norms / regulations.2. Wear and tear on a product will not beconsidered a defect. Problems with productsresulting from improper installation,handling or maintenance will also not beconsidered a defect.Note: Only the manufacturer may opensealed components or screw connections.Otherwise, the warranty may become nulland void01.06.201051
