Aluminium in Order to Grow<br />
The light metal was the focus of the reflections of speakers<br />
and participants in the latest Meeting of the FARO Club,<br />
meaningfully held at the Museo Ferrari in Maranello (near<br />
Modena). Among the central themes of the two-day session,<br />
new export opportunities for goods made in Italy.<br />

There is a new territory that the Italian car part industry<br />
could conquer. It is Iran, that intends increasing<br />
its activity in the automotive sector. This<br />
was stated by Mohamad Reza Najafi Manesh, Member<br />
of the Board, Iranian Auto Parts Manufacturers Association.AttheFAROClubMeetinginMaranellohespoke<br />
about the plan that foresees in his country the produc-<br />
tionof3millioncarsby2025,75%ofwhichmeantfor<br />
sale on the domestic market. The idea is to also produce<br />
120,000 commercial vehicles, one-fourth of which meant<br />
for export. Finally, Iranian manufacturers should account<br />
for 50% of production, following investments adding up<br />
to 8 billion dollars in all. The turnover for the parts sector<br />
should amount to 25 billion dollars, plus 6 billion from ex-<br />
