fosse pronto all’utilizzo. Oggi, grazie all’introduzione
Inoltre, sempre in
l
fibra è sul mercato ormai da
parecchi anni), ma del resto
non ci è mai interessato esserlo.
Come visto, quando
proponiamo un nuovo prodotto
lo facciamo solo quando
siamo sicuri di offrire una
soluzione di assoluta qualità
e in grado di distinguerci sul
mercato. Questo è l’unico primato
cui tendiamo e che ci
interessa conseguire.
(tema particolarmente caro a ogni costruttothey
need, not just when the machine is installed
but directly in the design phase. In the end, what
makes the difference is not only the laser and the
CNC, but the integration with the machine”.
“Talking about our fibre laser sources, I acknowledge
that we are certainly not the first to
offer this type of technology (fibre lasers have
been on the market for many years), but after
all it was never our objective. As seen, when
we present a new product we only do so when
we are sure that we can offer an absolutely
high-quality solution which will allow us to
stand out on the market.
This is the only result we aim for and are interested
in obtaining. We are aware of the fact that
in this sector we are still newbies and that the
market is only now beginning to understand
what FANUC can offer in this specific segment”.
From an energy efficiency standpoint (a topic
which all manufacturers are very interested
in), FANUC branded fibre lasers total around
35-36% as opposed to CO 2
’s 12-13%. But energy
efficiency is not just measured economically;
it is also connected to the time required
to take action.
“In the past, after turning the laser on, it took
about five minutes before it could be used.
Now, by means of the introduction of dedicated
functions in the CNC management software, in
less than a minute the laser is ready to work.
Besides, once more considering efficiency, if
the laser is not used for one minute, an intermediate
step is envisaged whereby the turbine
keeps on functioning, while the drives decrease
their power.
After two minutes of inactivity the turbines are
turned off. With the most recent CNC and laser
generator versions, we can save - in terms of
consumption - as much as 30% (a particularly
significant datum)”.
To conclude, we asked Mora if the choice of the
head influences to any extent the reliability of the
FANUC package. “We use other manufacturers’
heads, chosen based upon the clients’ specific
requests. In order to exploit them fully, FANUC
however provides a series of parameter which,
when respected, allow cutting performances to
be optimized”.
