novazione, realizzare vantaggi economici e garantire
a sviluppare, testare e distribuire materiali e applicazioni
di nuova generazione per la stampa 3D. Con sede a
Corvallis, in Oregon, il nuovo HP 3D Open Materials and
HP 3D Open Materials and Applications Lab.
To favour innovaTion
The HP Jet Fusion 3D 4200 printer is part of an ecosystem
including products and solutions designed to favour innovations,
obtain economic advantages and guarantee a
more rapid development of materials and applications for
3D printing. During the recent Additive Manufacturing Users
Group (AMUG) conference, HP announced important
innovations for its “Open Platform” for 3D printing material
and the development of manufacturing-ready applications.
In particular, the unique model of HP’s Open Platform
for 3D printing allows to broaden the availability of
new materials and the set of possible applications, thereby
reducing the cost of the materials themselves and of their
development, speeding up processes, improving performances
and creating new possibilities for the production
of components with characteristics capable of satisfying
the specific demands of different sectors.
For instance, HP, in partnership with SIGMADESIGN, will
present the industry’s first MDK for 3D printing material,
ensuring the availability of an increasingly wide range of
materials for final clients and a simplified certification and
testing process for partners.
An essential part of HP’s open platform strategy for 3D
printing, the MDK will allow companies interested in certifying
their material to quickly test the capabilities and the
compatibility of 3D powders with HP Jet Fusion 3D before
sending materials to HP for a test. This considerably simplifies
the testing and certification system, thereby accelerating
the innovation cycles and at the same time guaranteeing
the rigorous respect of rigid quality requirements.
a sTrucTure which is
unique in The world
In keeping with its vision and thanks to over 40 years of
experience in the printing sector, HP presented the first
laboratory in the world designed to help companies in developing,
testing and distributing next-generation materials
and applications for 3D printing. Based in Corvallis,
Oregon, the new HP 3D Open Materials and Applications
Lab will provide its partners with a broad range of equipment
and internal know-how so as to accelerate innovation
in terms of materials and applications, an essential
factor to speed up the evolution and adoption of 3D printing
technologies.
