LUIGI DI GIAMMARINO (L’Aquila, 1959) LUIGI DI GIAMMARINO (L’Aquila, 1959) Lavora come fumettista e illustratore. Tra gli anni ‘70 e la metà degli ‘80, creò brevi storie comiche per diverse riviste italiane (“1984”, “Tilt”, “Cioè”, …) e una graphic novel fantasy per il mercato italiano, Pieter Van Auger. Negli anni Ottanta ha anche lavorato per gli studi di animazione di Gianni Peg, dove realizza sfondi e animazioni per decine di cortometraggi per la RAI. Negli anni Novanta torna a lavorare come fumettista con le serie ESP, pubblicate da Universo, e con i fumetti horror sceneggiati da Paul Aleandri e pubblicati dalla Acme di Francesco Coniglio. Nel 2005 illustra la prima uscita del fumetto fantasy Adam au Chromaland per l’editrice francese Les Humanoides Associès. In seguito si occupa di un altro fumetto fantasy pubblicato in due volumi, La Vallée des Mutants, per l’editore francese Clair De Lune. Per l’editore Lo Scarabeo, illustra Le Carte dei Sogni, I Tarocchi della Metamorfosi e si accinge ora a terminare un altro lavoro: I Tarocchi del Surrealismo. He works as cartoonist and illustrator. Between the late seventies and mideighties, he creates short comic stories for various Italian magazines (“1984”, “Tilt”, “Cioè”…), and a fantasy graphic novel for the Italian market, Pieter Van Auger. In the eighties he also works for the animation studio of Gianni Peg, where he realizes backgrounds and animations for dozens of short films for the RAI (Italy’s national public broadcasting company). In the nineties he went back to work as a comic book artist with the ESP series, published by Universo publishing, and horror comic books scripted by Paul Aleandri and published by Francesco Coniglio’s Acme. In 2005 he draws the first issue of the fantasy comic book Adam au Chromaland for the French publisher Les Humanoides Associès. Then he draws another fantasy comic book published into two volumes, La Vallee des Mutants, for the French publisher Clair de Lune. For the publisher Lo Scarabeo, he draws Cards of Dreams, The Tarot of Metamorphosis, and now he is finishing another job: The Tarot of the Surrealists. 58 DI GIAMMARINO
