foi, para todos, um grande choque cultural.
Tudo lhes parecia quadrado, estéril e pedante,
comparado com o Brasil. "Os primeiros
meses foram horríveis", lembra-se Lea
Stefania.
autonomia rapidamente adquirida)
conseguem apagar a enorme saudade –
Brasil. Luis Felipe sonha com um emprego
numa empresa internacional. Mas, depois
dos estudos, quer permanecer na Suíça
para ganhar mais experiência profissional.
Switzerland is easily among the
world leaders and certain school and universities
enjoy great international respect.
It is, therefore, no surprise that Switzerland
attracts many foreign students. Today,
one-fifth of the 129,000 students in Swiss
universities come from abroad, including
to Switzerland and what plans do those
who live there have?
Luis Felipe is one of these Brazilians. For
almost a year he has been studying physics
at the ETH (Federal Technology Institute)
in Zurich. "To tell the truth I intended studying
in the US", he says "but later I decided
to attend the ETH as it was a good
opportunity to study in one of the best
universities. I already had the "Matriculation"
qualification covering a wide range
Lea Stefania Moeri, 24 anos, cursou a Escola
hotelaria Belvoirpark. Após a formação, adquiriu
conhecimentos práticos em diversos hotéis. Hoje,
are Swiss and she has double nationality. In
she acquired basic practical knowledge
in various hotels. Today she is a management
good chance of being promoted to a management
position.
has already finished her course. Her
decision to study in Switzerland came
late because she had initially wanted to
study at a hotel school in Brazil. "However,
I would not have been able to take a course
in Brazil at an internationally known school.
That´s why I came to Zurich", she explains.
For Eduardo, as well, the good reputation
of the schools was the main reason
for going to Switzerland. Even though he
had succeeded in gaining entry to the FGV
(Getúlio Vargas Foundation), one of the
best universities in Brazil, he went to the
University of St.Gallen to study business
