Research and Markets, o papel reciclado vem desempenhando
um papel significativo como matéria-prima
na produção de embalagens de papel.
Mundialmente, quase 50% do papel consumido
é reciclado, retornando para alimentar a indústria.
Grande parte dessa matéria-prima é utilizada na
produção de embalagens.
O processo de produção utiliza papel reciclado
como matéria-prima, derivados do descarte de
consumidores finais ou dos resíduos produzidos
durante a produção de outros tipos de embalagem
de papel. Entre as vantagens desse uso está a redução
do custo dos materiais em até 40%, além da
possibilidade de reciclar o papel até dez vezes para
produzir novos produtos e diferentes aplicações.
Em um mercado com expectativa de crescimento
mundial de 7,73% até 2019, aliado a uma
tendência mundial de iniciativas para redução de
emissões, as embalagens recicladas estão sendo
adotadas cada vez mais pelas indústrias de alimentos,
bebidas, saúde e cuidados pessoais, entre outros.
De acordo com o relatório, o aumento da demanda
por produtos sustentáveis devido a novas
iniciativas dos governos de diversos países para reduzir
o uso de plástico é um dos fatores que mais

for sustainable products due to new Government
initiatives in various countries to reduce the use of plastic
is one of the factors that most influenced the growth of
this market. An increase in consumer awareness about
recycling and the effects of the accumulation of plastic
waste in nature should also have a positive impact on
the growth of the market for recyclable packaging in the
coming years.
The report also highlights the gap between demand
and supply as one of the biggest challenges for the market.
Trade and final consumer demand has been growing
worldwide over recent years, and the industry still
does not yet produce the volume necessary to meet this
demand, and the possible exploitation of this market represents
an excellent future opportunity.
