oi lançada a segunda onda da
campanha #SouMaisPapel, iniciativa
de entidades e empresas que
compõem a cadeia de base florestal,
responsável pela produção
de celulose, papel, embalagem de
papel, pisos laminados, painéis de madeira,
entre outros. O objetivo do movimento é informar
dia a dia. “A boa repercussão da primeira
fase chamou a atenção de empresas e associações,
que se dispuseram a se juntar para
uma segunda onda e reforçar este movimento
T
he second phase of the #SouMaisPapel
campaign was launched as an initiative of
industry associations and companies that
make up the forest base chain, responsible
for producing pulp, paper, paper packaging, laminate
floors, wood panels, among others. The movement aims
to inform the general public of the sustainability existing
throughout the production process of this Sector, from
the field to the bioproduct in the hands of consumers.
In this opportunity, in addition to the 15 entities that
participated in the first phase of the campaign in 2021,
other machinery and equipment manufacturers for the
Pulp and Paper Sector have also joined.
Through articles on the social networks focusing on
people’s day-to-day lives, the campaign provides relevant
data that prove the Sector’s performance in search
of efficiency, sustainability, and innovation. This opportunity
reinforces how the Sector is essential for other areas
of the economy and presents solutions that impact the
daily lives of millions of people in Brazil and the world.
In the current context, in which we discuss what
kind of planet we will have for future generations, the
Pulp and Paper Sector demonstrates once again that it
acts to deliver environmentally friendly solutions and has
a total focus on efficiency and sustainability.
Ambassador José Carlos da Fonseca Jr., Executive
Director of IBÁ (Brazilian Tree Industry), explains that
initiating another stage of the #SouMaisPapel campaign
demonstrates that the Planted Tree Sector is on the right
side of the climate change equation. For the Director,
it is essential that the Sector act in an educational way,
informing the final public about the sustainable process
behind each forest-based industry product and how the
industry has become fundamental in the day-to-day.
“The repercussions from the first phase caught the atten-
