e muito atuante. Ao todo, são oito sindicatos
empresariais madeireiros, que juntos formam o
CIPEM, que nos representa em nível estadual, federal
e até mundialmente.
QUE PERSPECTIVAS O SETOR TEM PARA
2023, DIANTE DO CENÁRIO BRASILEIRO E
MUNDIAL?
Nossas perspectivas são de aumentar áreas
manejadas e, com isso, conseguir um volume
maior de disponibilidade de matéria-prima para
abastecer o mercado nacional e internacional.
Também esperamos conscientizar a população de
que somente com o manejo florestal sustentável
é que vamos garantir a conservação da floresta. É
preciso ampliar a consciência entre as pessoas e a
sociedade de que estamos prestando um serviço
ambiental e social para o Brasil e para o mundo.

SIDO FEITAS E IMPULSIONADAS PELO SIN-
DUSMAD NOS ÚLTIMOS ANOS?
O Sindusmad tem investido na qualificação de
mão de obra, buscando instituições – a exemplo
do CIPEM e SENAI – para ofertar cursos de aperfeiçoamento
para os colaboradores das indústrias
madeireiras. Também realizamos constantemente
ações sociais, ajudando instituições beneficentes,
e visitando escolas públicas para ensinar às crianças
a importância do manejo florestal. Entendemos
que somos responsáveis por garantir a sustentabilidade
da floresta para as próximas gerações.

MAIS MUDOU NA INDÚSTRIA DA MADEIRA
NOS ÚLTIMOS ANOS?
Acredito que principalmente a modernização

will we ensure forest conservation. Finally, it
is necessary to broaden the awareness between
people and society that we are providing an environmental
and social service to Brazil and the
world.
WHAT INVESTMENTS AND PARTNER-
SHIPS HAVE BEEN MADE AND SUPPORTED
BY SINDUSMAD IN RECENT YEARS?
Sindusmad has invested in labor training,
seeking institutions – such as Cipem and Senai
– to offer improvement courses for employees
in forest-based companies. We also constantly
carry out social actions, help charities, and visit
public schools to teach children the importance
of Forest Management. We understand that we
are responsible for ensuring the sustainability of
the forest for future generations.
IN YOUR VISION AND EXPERIENCE,
WHAT HAS CHANGED THE MOST IN THE
FOREST-BASED SECTOR IN RECENT YEARS?
I believe that what has changed the most is
the modernization of the industrial park, investment
in the qualification of labor, and, indeed,
the forest product companies have reinvented
themselves so that they are an example in fostering
