A empresa confirma que três áreas produtivas
de sua propriedade, localizadas nos municípios
de Mucuri, Teixeira de Freitas e Caravelas, no
Estado da Bahia, foram invadidas e danificadas
ilegalmente pelo MST (Movimento dos Trabalhadores
Rurais Sem Terra). Tais atos violam o
direito à propriedade privada e estão sujeitos
à adoção de medidas judiciais para reintegrar
a posse dessas áreas. A companhia reitera que
cumpre integralmente as legislações ambientais
e trabalhistas aplicáveis às áreas em que mantêm
atividades, tendo como premissas em suas
operações o desenvolvimento sustentável e a
geração de valor e renda, reforçando assim seu
compromisso com as comunidades locais e com
o meio ambiente.
Especificamente no sul da Bahia, a empresa
gera aproximadamente 7 mil empregos diretos,
mais de 20 mil postos de trabalho indiretos e
beneficia cerca de 37 mil pessoas pelo efeito
renda, conforme metodologia adotada pela FGV
(Fundação Getúlio Vargas) e pela IBÁ.
Além disso, por meio de seus projetos sociais,
programas e iniciativas na região, a empresa
alcançou mais de 52 mil participantes diretos

The Company confirms that the Movement of
Landless Rural Workers (MST) illegally invaded and
damaged three of its productive areas, located
in Mucuri, Teixeira de Freitas, and Caravelas in
the State of Bahia. Such acts violate the right to
private property and are subject to the adoption
of judicial measures to reinstate possession of
these areas. The Company reiterates that it fully
complies with environmental and labor laws applicable
to the areas in which it carries out activities,
having as premises in its operations the sustainable
development and the generation of value and
income, thus reinforcing its commitment to local
communities and the environment.
Specifically in Southern Bahia, the Company
generates approximately seven thousand direct
jobs and more than twenty thousand indirect jobs,
benefiting about thirty-seven thousand people by
the income effect, according to the methodology
adopted by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV)
and IBÁ.
