Poštovani čitatelju,
Ušli smo, eto, u novu, predolimpijsku godinu! A ovu, koja je tek za nama, pamtit ćemo po
dobru - ne samo zbog tri olimpijske medalje iz Vancouvera (dva srebra Ivice Kostelića i
bronca jakova Faka), četiri odličja iz Singapura s I. Olimpijskih igara mladih, već i zbog
osvojenih čak 400 medalja sa svjetskih i europskih prvenstava i kupova.
Ponosni smo na naših šest razvojnih programa za športaše u kojima je ukupno 389 korisnika,
kao i na četiri razvojna programa za trenere u koja su uključena
72 trenera. U jednom od četiri razvojna programa na
lokalnoj razini, “Od športske škole do olimpijskih igara”
sudjelovalo je 13 952 djece vrtićke dobi u 43 grada iz 380
vrtića, a u projektu povodom obilježavanja osnivanja HOO-a
pod nazivom Hrvatski olimpijski dan (10. rujna), sudjelovalo
je preko 135 000 građana RH.
To naravno nije sve: seminare za trenere, suce, instruktore i
ostale športske djelatnike u sklopu Hrvatske olimpijske akademije
pohađalo je 5 200 polaznika (uz 500 predavača), a
svakako moramo istaknuti i našu Zakladu hrvatskih športaša,
Klub olimpijaca, suradnju s "Aspirom" (Visoka škola za športski
menadžment), Kineziološkim fakultetom, program Karijera Glavni tajnik Hrvatskog
poslije karijere i druge aktivnosti usmjerene brizi za športaše.

Nakon niza konzultativnih sastanaka, prezentacija i razgovora

Zagrebu, 19 hrvatskih vrhunskih športašica i športaša svečano
je potpisalo ugovor o službi u Oružanim snagama RH u statusu
djelatnog vojnika. Takvo zapošljavanje športaša rezultat je

rujanskog Sporazuma HOO-a i MORH-a o suradnji, unapređenju
i razvoju športa u RH i vrlo je značajan korak u razvoju
hrvatskog športa.
Velika novost je vijest koja nas je razveselila potkraj godine: dobili smo koncesiju za Športsku
televiziju! Program koji će startati u prvoj polovici 2011. godine promovirat će na najbolji
mogući način hrvatski šport i hrvatske športaše. Sigurno je da je Športska televizija
prekretnica za sve nas koji smo u naš šport uključeni na bilo koji način.
Sve su to i više nego dostatni razlozi zbog kojih smo sa zadovoljstvom podvukli crtu ispod
2010. i zbog kojih puni elana i pozitivne energije te uz pregršt športskog optimizma ulazimo u
novu godinu...
Dear Reader,
Well, we have entered a new, pre-Olympic year! And the year we have left behind us will
be remembered by the good things - not only because of the three Olympic medals in
Vancouver (Ivica Kostelic’s two silvers and Jakov Fak’s bronze), four medals from the Youth
Olympic Games in Singapore, but also for winning 400 medals at the world and European
championships and cups.
We are proud of our six development programs for athletes with a total of 389 users, as
well as four development programs for coaches with 72 coaches involved. In one of the four
development programs at local level 13 952 children from 380 kindergartens took part, in 43
towns, and over 135 000 citizens of the Republic of Croatia participated in the celebrating of
the establishment of the COC entitled:”The Croatian Olympic Day” (September 10th).
This of course is not all: 5200 (along with 500 speakers) participants took part in
seminars for coaches, referees, athletic trainers and other employees in sports within the
Croatian Olympic Academy. We must certainly emphasize our Croatian Athletes Foundation,
The Olympic Club, in cooperation with “Aspira” (College of Sports Management), the Faculty
of Kinesiology, the program Career after Career and other activities aimed at caring for
athletes.
On December 22nd at the Croatian Military Academy in Zagreb, after a series of consultative
meetings, presentations and interviews with athletes, 19 Croatian top athletes officially signed
a contract for service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia in active duty status as
soldiers. Such recruitment of athletes is the result of the September Agreement between COC
and MORH (Ministry of Defense) on cooperation, promotion and development of sports in
the Republic of Croatia and is a very significant step in the development of Croatian sports.
The big news that cheered us up at the end of the year was that: we got concession for Sports
television! The program will start in the first half of 2011 and will promote Croatian sports
and Croatian athletes in the best possible way. It is certain that Sports television will be a
milestone for all of us involved in our sports in any way. All these reasons are more than
sufficient to make us gladly put closure on 2010 and make us enter the New Year full of sports
optimism and positive energy...
