OLIMP 37 - prosinac 2010. - Hrvatski Olimpijski Odbor

Uz redovno izvješće o radu i planovima za sljedeću godinu,
skupština EOC-a posebnu je pažnju dala izvješću Olimpijske
solidarnosti koja obilno sudjeluje u brojnim nacionalnim
projektima razvoja športa i promicanja olimpizma.
Predsjednik HOO-a, ujedno i član Izvršnog odbora EOC-a
Zlatko Mateša (zadužen za koordinaciju izrade studije EOCa
o isplativosti), obrazložio je elemente mogućeg koncepta
Europskih igara po uzoru na druge kontinentalne igre kao
što su Panameričke, Azijske i druge, a o čijoj su ideji suglasni
i brojni nacionalni olimpijski odbori EOC-a.
Novo (staro) članstvo HOO-a
Na prijedlog Vijeća, članovi Skupštine HOO-a, na sjednici
27. prosinca 2010. jednoglasno su odlučili primiti u punopravno
članstvo inače dugogodišnjeg pridruženog člana (od
1998.) Hrvatski savate savez, savez neolimpijskog športa
sa sjedištem u Zagrebu.
Privremeni član od ove je godine Hrvatski sambo savez,
koji njeguje kombinirane borilačke vještine, a sjedište mu je
u Sesvetama.
U svojstvu pridruženog člana, HOO je primio Hrvatsku
odbojkašku udrugu sa sjedištem u Sesvetama i time riješio
pitanja skrbi o hrvatskoj odbojci. Predsjednik udruge Zdeslav
Barač, zahvaljujući se na primanju u članstvo, kazao je
da unatoč formalnim i organizacijskim problemima „nikad
nije niti izašla iz olimpijske obitelji“.

izbornik i trener hrvatske Velimira Kljiaća) i Darko Dujmović
rukometne reprezentacije
koja je osvojila zlatnu nik i Dinko Vuleta - predsjednik
Stoje: Želimir Janjić - državni taj-
medalju na OI Atlanti Odbora za dodjelu Nagrade
1996., prvo zlatno odličje
za hrvatski šport
nakon osamostaljenja Hrvatske.
Dobitnici 12 ravnopravnih godišnjih nagrada su Samir
Barać, Mateo Beusan, Josip Ćuk, Božidar Fučkar, Igor Hinić,
Ivan Ivančić, Marinko Mikulandra, Sandra Perković, Željko
Štefanac, Goran Vrbanac, Vladimir Vujnović i Korčulanski
plivački klub.
Nagrade su svečano uručene u sjedištu Ministarstva
znanosti, obrazovanja i športa u Zagrebu, 24. listopada u
nazočnosti brojnih uglednika hrvatskog športskog i javnog
života.
The COC and Aspira College of sports management for educating athletes
This November the Croatian Olympic Committee and Aspira, College of Sports
Management from Split, signed an agreement on the education of classified Croatian
athletes in the study program of sports management. The first agreement of this type
in Croatia enabled the classified athletes to study in a professional undergraduate
study program for three years and with certain benefits, whether they are full or parttime
students.
However, the study program is adapted as much as possible to both types of students
and to the obligations of top athletes in the challenging international and local
calendar of competitions and preparations; they have access to the Merlin electronic
system (e-learning), additional interactive coordination and mentoring with teachers
and their assistants. The calendar of exam dates and catch up practical teaching
exercises are also adapted to them.
Student athletes will be able to extend their graduate student internship and will be
allowed to enroll into the next semester or academic year if they are missing up to 30
percent less of ECT credits than those prescribed by the study program, standstill of
students’ rights in the academic year in which the student was absent from over 50
percent of compulsory classes and many other benefits.
This is how the recommendations of the 13th Olympic Congress (October 2009) and
the European project: Athletes to Business (A2B) on the care of athletes came to a
very concrete solution that met with the approval of many top athletes and many
people saw it as encouragement for a mature professional future.
Blanka Vlasic, the best Croatian athlete, skier Sofija Novoselic, Lucija and Ana
Zaninovic (taekwondo), yachtswoman Tina Mihelic and former top athletes Ivana
Brkljacic and soccer player Igor Stimac are already attending the study of sports
management at Aspira, the College of Sports Management in Split.
The Agreement was signed by the president of the COC Zlatko Matesa and the Dean
of Aspira, the College of Sports Management, Zeljko Mrklic in the presence of the
Secretary General of the COC, Josip Cop, the assistant to the Secretary General for
Legal Affairs, Biserka Vrbek and the President of the Governing Council of Aspira,

ENGSO on social inclusion and education in sports
A forum on the theme „Social Inclusion and Education through Sports“ was held
in Dubrovnik on October 8th and 9th , which was organized by the European nongovernmental
sports organizations (ENGSO), the Croatian Olympic Committee and
the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia.
Within the forum a seminar on the theme - Cooperation on all levels of social
responsibility in Europe was held with Bart Ooijen, a member of the European
Commission, Jan Luc Janiszewski on behalf of the Council of Europe and the
President of the COC and member of the IO EOC Zlatko Matesa as the speakers.
The Croatian Olympic Committee presented the projects on the education of classified
athletes in coordination with institutions of higher education in Croatia. Mihovil
Spanja, best disabled swimmer and a graduate student of the undergraduate study
program of Media and Social Culture at the University of Dubrovnik and Mario
Moznik, a graduate student of Kinesiology at the University of Zagreb, presented their
personal experiences in that area.
The 39th General Assembly of the EOC
On November 26th and 27th, under the chairmanship of Patrick Hickey, the 39th
General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) was held in Belgrade
in which the president of COC Zlatko Matesa and the Secretary General Josip Cop
took part.
In addition to regular reports on the activities and plans for the following year, the
EOC Assembly paid special attention to the report on Olympic Solidarity which
participates a great deal in numerous national sports development projects and in the
promotion of Olympic sports.
The President of the COC and also a member of the Executive board of the EOC,
Zlatko Matesa (responsible for the coordination of the concept of the EOC study on
cost-effectiveness) explained the elements of a possible concept of the European games
modeled on other continental games, such as Pan American, Asian and others, to
which many national Olympic committees of the EOC also agree.
