PL. ÚS 15/98 ofMarch 11, 1999. The conformity of the Law no. 187/1998 amending the Law On GeneralElection to Parliament, among other things, with article 26 on freedom of expressionand right to information has been tested in this case. The other significant finding is theone on conformity of the Law no. 81/1992 On The Czecho-Slovakian Press Agency withthe article 26 of the Slovak Constitution. The case of conformity of the latest Act On PrintMedia no. 167/2008 is pending before the Constitutional Court.The constitutional applications claiming violation of the article 26 of the Constitutionmean the other branch of the Constitutional Court agenda on freedom of expression.Among them the principal part can be played by the application claiming the breach of freedomof expression through the censorship ordered by the Director General of Slovenskátelevízia (the state controled TV). The application has been submitted to the ConstitutionalCourt in September of 2008.
