valuable brands in the World. How do you<br />

see this and what would be the next steps to progress<br />

more in the ranking?<br />

Currently, QNB is ranked as the most valuable banking<br />

brand (USD1.81 billion) in the MENA region<br />

according to the Brand Finance Global Survey and<br />

the current world ranking of 101. This reflects the<br />

Group’s continuous strong performance, expanding<br />

international presence and growing brand recognition.<br />

QNB will continue to invest in its brand buy<br />

further expanding internationally and strive to serve<br />

the needs of its growing and diverse customer base<br />

across the markets it operates in.<br />

How do you see the investment of QNB Group in<br />

Europe?<br />

QNB aspires to become a Middle East and Africa<br />

(MEA) Icon by 2017. On its journey to realize this<br />

vision, QNB intends to facilitate trade and investment<br />

flows into and across this region. Europe is key<br />

financial center in the world. QNB’s presence in Europe<br />

is to support the rest of the international network<br />

by capturing a share of the flows originating from or<br />

destined to Europe<br />

Is there any intentions for more acquisitions or<br />

more partnership in the other continents?<br />

QNB’s corporate strategy comprises of three pillars:<br />

Maintain dominant position in Qatar, develop and grow<br />

ongoing high RoE businesses and continue international<br />

expansion. Our focus is clearly on expanding our<br />

presence in the Middle East Africa region.<br />
