Saturday evening invited the public to the popular Showcase
performance. The Showcase gave the winners of group awards
and chosen entries an opportunity to perform their entry again in
a non-competitive setting. The second half of the show held the
Hopak competition, with Novice, Senior and Adult entries.
We would like to recognize all of the individuals and schools
who won awards this year, and would like to congratulate Sopilka
Ukrainian Dance School for achieving the weekend’s highest
overall average, and winning the Troyanda Trophy!
The weekend held an impressive collection of performances! It
is evident Manitoba is home to many passionate instructors and
choreographers who share their love and passion for Ukrainian
Dance with their students. This passion shines through as the excitement
in each dancer as they wait backstage for their turn to
perform, the smiles beaming on their faces as they take the stage,
and the undeniable emotion following their performance. УВ
