Grandweld Shipyards launches the first boat “BAHRA” for KOC<br />
Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and<br />
Grandweld Shipyard, based in the<br />
UAE, has recently celebrated the<br />
launching of the first crew Boat as<br />
per an agreement signed last March<br />
to build six Pilot Boats and four Crew<br />
Boats for KOC. The remaining nine<br />
boats will be delivered in June 2019.<br />
The boat, that has been specially<br />
designed to meet the requirements<br />
of KOC, has been launched prior to<br />
the deadline in accordance to Lloyd's<br />
Register’s classification rules in order<br />
to provide high operational efficiency<br />
and safety.<br />
During the launching ceremony<br />
of the first boat “BAHRA”, Eng.Jamal<br />
Abki, the General Manager of<br />
Grandweld Shipyards emphasized,<br />
“We are proud to launch the first<br />
boat two weeks ahead of schedule,<br />
as any delay in providing KOC<br />
with the boats needed to meet their<br />
customer’s requirements may significantly<br />
affect our leading position<br />
and our customer’s confidence in the<br />
quality of our services. We are now<br />
successfully launching the boat, assuring<br />
KOC and all our customers<br />
that we are committed to execute<br />
and deliver our projects as planned<br />
and in adherence to the delivery date<br />
without compromising the manufacturing<br />
quality and the welding power.<br />
Our facility has the largest covered<br />
shipbuilding area which ensures the<br />
power and durability of our vessels<br />
as they are protected from exposure<br />
to wind during manufacturing, which<br />
greatly affects the vessel’s strength<br />
and operational life.”<br />
جراندويلد لبناء السفن تطلق أول سفينة لشركة نفط الكويت<br />
احتفلت كل من شركة نفط الكويت<br />
وشركة جراندويلد لبناء السفن ومقرها<br />
دولة اإلمارات بتدشين وإنزال السفينة<br />
األوىل للدعم البحري ضمن العقد الذي تم<br />
توقيعه لبناء ست قوارب إرشاد وأربع قوارب<br />
للطاقم لصالح شركة نفط الكويت، يف مارس<br />
الماضي. وسيتم االنتهاء من تسليم السفن<br />
التسع المتبقية يف شهر يونيو2019. وقد تم<br />
تدشين وإنزال أول القوارب الذي تم تصميمه<br />
خصيصاً وفق المتطلبات الفنية التي تلبي<br />
احتياجات شركة نفط الكويت، قبل الموعد<br />
المحدد من دون تأخير، وفق معايير هيئة<br />
التصنيف البريطانية "لويدز ريجستر" لضمان<br />
توفير أعلى معدالت الكفاءة والتشغيل<br />
والسالمة.<br />
وخالل حفل تدشين القارب "بحرة"، صرح<br />
المهندس.جمال العبكي، المدير العام لشركة<br />
جراندويلد قائالً "نحن فخورون بتدشين أول<br />
القوارب قبل الموعد المحدد بأسبوعين، ألن<br />
أي تأخير يف تزويد شركة نفط الكويت بالسفن<br />
التي تحتاجها لتلبية احتياجات عمالئها قد<br />
يؤثر بشكل كبير على ريادتنا وثقة عمالؤنا<br />
بجودة خدماتنا. وها نحن اآلن نقوم بتعويم<br />
السفينة بنجاح، ونؤكد لشركة نفط الكويت<br />
وكافة عمالئنا بأن أهم ما تتميز به شركتنا هو<br />
السرعة الكبيرة يف تنفيذ المشاريع وااللتزام<br />
الصارم بمواعيد التسليم، من دون المقايضة<br />
على جودة التصنيع وقوة اللحام، السيما وأننا<br />
نمتلك أ كبر مساحة مغطاة لبناء السفن<br />
والقوارب يف المنطقة، وهو ما يضمن قوة<br />
اللحام ومتانته ألنه يكون محمياً من التعرض<br />
للرياح أثناء التصنيع، وهو ما يؤثر بشكل<br />
كبير على قوة السفينة وعمرها التشغيلي".<br />
